Absurd. I would almost consider buying a backup engine and battery were it not that the backup battery would degrade over time just sitting in storage. Its almost like you have to figure out from the vendor when the given part is going to be marked for end of life and buy it then but how...

I am finally moving on from a 2004 specialized comp into the emtb world. However I wonder if it is realistic to expect an emtb's longevity to last anywhere near as long as an analogue bike? I am fine with the reality of needing to replace an engine or battery, the real question is, how long...

Would have thought we'd be seeing more mtbs using this system by now, but it looks liked there are still limited offerings from vendors I am not familiar with (and dont seem to have much of a north american presence at all)

I think the TQ50 still has a place because no other motor comes close to its ride profile... that's the only reason I am still considering a Fuel... They are in a race however to get a more powerful motor out before the other makers figure out how to make a quiet and more natural feeling motor...

Been trying to get clarity on this but is the EP801 Gen2 and EP600 Gen2 the same motor unit, with the only difference being the EP600 is cased in steel instead of magnesium? I've seen a few (older) reports that said the EP600 is actually just a rebrand of the older EP8 motors.

I'm configuring a 2025 Rise SL and wondering if anyone is familiar enough with Race Face 30ARC wheels vs Orbea's own OQUO MC32Team wheels to say whether the significant cost differential (+ $560) is worth it. Thoughts?

I'm just hoping we get an EXE with the new battery ASAP. I cant hold out much longer! ❤️ the TQ50's ride profile but cannot abide being limited to the 360 kw battery... and the weak range extender is almost like salt in the wound!

Oh man, TQ has a new 580 watt high density battery for the TQ50... wonder if that would be compatible with existing Fuel EXe framesets? Or have to wait for new models... choosing a new EMTB is so hard lol...

There seems to be confusion as to which bikes come with the EP801 vs the EP600. According to the chart above the SLM20 should have the EP801 but on the actual orbea site, the engine is listed as the EP600...

Currently looking at a Bosche SX/400kwh bike but am thinking about complementing with a range extender. However I have read that lithium battery systems in general degrade if they are in storage most of the time and not being used. If a range extender is only being used once or twice a year...

You should be getting an estimated date I think? I did a 2025 Rise SL build with custom paint and and got an estimated date of 1st week of January...
