Sounds the same for any car engine really. They work to a budget & performance shops are the ones bringing out the quality parts. So you are correct that it is by design to work within a pricepoint.
Watching the motor test on the new DJI vs others on the net I really hope Specialized have something special as its becoming pretty easy to just be another player in todays ebike market.
As stated above. I will be very interested if the S & Pro are released a few months earlier than the alloy models like the Gen3.
Whatever happens Specialized need to pull a rabbit out of the hat with something different (48v etc) or no longer be seen as the innovator which they are well known...
I have been posting this guess over the past 9+ months on different forums. Past history has shown that Specialized up rates Brose motors above the normal power & Specialized have always tried to innovate. Motor power & battery size has been done by others now to level the playing field but...
It will have the Brose Peak drive 48v motor that comes std with 95Nm but specialized will boost it to 100+Nm
Drive belt will be gone & replaced with planetary gear system like ZF & DJI motor.
It will run the 814 watt hr battery as an option.
bikes will weigh less due to more energy dense...
