Highly recommend thread lock on the button threads as that kept coming loose and could result in a lost cover even when secured fastly.
I must have the narrower cover, when new it was extremely hard to fit. The bike shop even had trouble getting it on, but now that it's loosened up a little...
It's so jarring isn't it. I would give up the 680W power in a heartbeat if it meant just some leeway with the speed threshold to avoid such a dramatic brick wall effect occuring so regularly.
The main attraction for a mechanical device was the simplicity and lack of detection, but it's never...
Extremely useful posts Alex. I don't think I would have any problem hitting the limit regularly, but I'm slightly nervous about the cadence issue in low gears. Are we talking avoiding sustained steep climbs or does the motor keep a running tally of your activities such that it's not worth...
I fully agree, I own the 160 Cube and if given the choice again, I would go for the Orbea or a similar midweight bike. I've found the weight and geometry on the Cube a bit too cumbersome and 85Nm is just unnecessary except on the most steep and technical terrain which I can quite happily avoid...
The 2024 160 is identical to the 2023 160. Obviously you have the usual caveats about component substitutes.
In fact, my order confirmation email says I ordered the 2023 and the dispatch email says they sent the 2024. Tredz didn't change the listing page, they just updated the year.
I avoid overwashing as it does more harm than good, but most winter slop rides call for an immediate wash, particularly because I store the bike in a cold, damp shed so the wet mud will literally never dry out during the winter.
I just bought a pet dryer and my god, it's a game changer. For...
Does anyone know how tight to torque the bolt under the battery lock? And also the two bolts at the bottom end of the battery bracket? I've applied locktite but don't want them to come loose, nor overtighten as they clamp the carbon.
In case it's useful to anyone, I've just measured my medium size Stereo Hybrid 160 and the max insertion with a regular seatpost is 265mm. I've installed a OneUp V2 210mm which sits 18mm above the clamp at its maximum insertion. I'm 5ft8 and didn't even need to use a shim so pleased with the...
