Yes I did.. after some research I found that the code was dated the very same day the bike delivered. I had done the firmware update when it delivered and found out much later that the code that's there is just a history. I was all worried for nothing. No problems and going strong. 💪
Well, here's an embarrassing confession. My brakes are SRAM. 😐 HAd to cancel the order. I really prefer Shimano brakes. The sram version are really only painted black... which is a rip off if you ask me, yeah it's a little thicker but why paint it black to look like the ICE sHIMANOS?
@nd ride on the bike with EP6 motor and I forgot it was an eMTB and road it through a creek, ABOUT A FOOT HIGH OF WATER. Should I be concerned about the motor? Been a couple weeks and everything seems fine , so far.
Did the same, front and rear 2.6 MAxxis Minions, and finally dropped in the Deore XT rear pulleys. HAve a pair of XT rotors coming in tomorrow.. slowly dialing her in :)
My channel 😁 doing the same, brother n law talked me into doing it for our little group years ago, it's been fun and they love to see themselves on the big screen ..
That as one garnly slope there.. maybe if you didn't touch your front brakes at all you'd have more control of that front wheels direction. Kudos for having the balls to even go down that.. wow, that was crazy. I subscribed :)
Still have my Specialized Stumpjumper (2016) and will probably never go back to rear air shocks now that I've gotten a good taste of coil shocks that's on my eMTB. I have a mix of riding buds and feel awkward riding my electric with the analogs. I'm sure that will pass quick, :)
My bike came with the SRAM DB8 and the description I've heard of them is spot on, they feel like wood. No give or modulation whatsoever. And arm pump city with these brakes, but they do stop you. Having a tough time deciding, go with my tried and true ZED brakes (like my other bike) or go big...
Quick Google shows it could just be a controller contact issue, wire or something. I'm charging my battery at the moment and will double check all connections when she's charged up. Best case scenario the wire to the controller came loose, worse case scenario, sensors in the engine need cleaning...
But updates are there to fix what is broken, so you do want to keep everything updated to the latest firmware. Having said that, miles after the firmware update (on initial purchase) maybe on my 6th or 10 th ride, this error code came up for me too. I'm in contact with YT at the moment waiting...
I'm 215 lbs on an empty stomach and am going between 450lb and a 500lb spring (The bike shipped with a 350lb). The 500lb spring on initial run is perfect for everything except the CHUNK. It gets stiff and I feel like I'm on a bronco trying to throw me off. I've since upgraded my shock from a...
Found the sweet spot for the rear shock, it nows runs better than the front shock. Not really fair as we upgraded to the Super Deluxe Ultimate. Worth every penny. Running a 450lb coil and it's BUTTER. Finished a nice run up here in the Woods.
Bottom bracket rattles a bit but for the monies I really can't complain to much. I dropped in a 500lb coil, was really easy to do. And thinking I might try the 450lb coil I have. Little stiff back there on the down.. but so perfect on the up. Contemplating letting it break in a little or just...
