Hi there. As stated above Blevo will continue to work regardless of any updates. However, you might lose the ability to set MC0 if you update to the latest battery firmware. This happened to my bike. I had the motor firmware updated as my motor was not giving full output capability. I asked them...
When I collected my bike after the updates I was told that " new motor firmware was not recognised" so they updated the battery firmware too. I'm going to ask them if it's possible to roll back the battery firmware.
My local Specialized store successfully updated my motor from 5.0.0 to 5.0.4 and the max power is now up to 790W. Unfortunately (maybe) they also (in my absence) updated the battery firmware to 10.23.3, despite me asking them not to. I'm not yet sure whether to try and get it put back or not.
Updated to 5.0.4 today. When I picked the bike up the "bicycle repair man" remarked that it was the fastest Levo he had tested. On a fully charged battery peak power is up from 590 to 797 watts!
Regarding the firmware/low power issue I have confirmation from the ebike manager at Rutland cycles that...'There was an update which limited peak power for several months. There is now an update out which rectifies this, so he needs that applying.'
Hi Ady. I have contacted the ebike manager at Rutland cycles regarding this issue. He informed me that.. 'There was an update which limited peak power for several months. There is now an update out which rectifies this, so he needs that applying.'
My local Specialized store are aware of this...
I have the same bike on the same firmware giving a similar power output. Mine shows 580-590W. I'm going to contact my local Spesh Concept store and ask about an update to 5.0.4
If you beat me to it Ady let us know the outcome. Is it certain that 5.0.4 will result in 700+W?
So I've bought a used Sony phone, installed the app and successfully connected to my bike so all is well. I haven't had time to play yet but interestingly it is reporting a different battery software version, 10.22.3 instead of A.16.3 but I understand that these are one and the same, the latter...
Hi Steve. We usually find ourselves in the Pines in the evening, after work. ( My chum's work, not mine. I'm effectively retired.) More often than not we do the Red route but both myself and my chum have health issues so sometimes we go Blue. "Off piste" sounds interesting though.
Most of our...
@ xcentric... I know what you are mean but I am an honorary Yorkshireman. The bike came up on a well known auction site for £3700. Hardly used, mint cond etc
I'd been looking around for a bike in the 2.5K range but I couldn't resist this Levo. It's got carbon rims and Ohlins for god's sake...
Hi everyone from Sherwood Forest. Before I splash the cash I would like to be sure that Blevo is fully compatible with my bike. I have a 2018 Levo Expert with motor firmware 5.0.0 and battery firmware A.16.3 I would like to be able to set max current in each mode, not with a single global...
Hi everyone. My EMTB story began about five years ago. I'd just finished building up a full carbon Whyte E120 on which I expected to smash the trails. How wrong I was. Not only was I unfit but unbeknownst to me I was also unwell. I was always "tail-end charlie" and it got to the point where I...
