Looking for some advice - I have always previously used roof carriers on roof racks to transport bikes.
My friend and I have both now got E Mtbs and are looking to each buy roof bars for our cars. We’ll then buy a bike carrier each so no matter who is driving that day we’ll have two.
Anyway I...
This is the cable
Exposure Brose eBike Connection...
Just remove your motor cover (not the chain side) and you’ll see the two connectors, one for front (top left) one for rear (top right)
They have dust covers in them.
You just wire the cable linked direct to the wires of the Lezyne light...
Thanks - I trouble shooted mine basically starting again, I think I had a loose connection between the light and the cable that plugs in. I have now got it working.
So decathlon B TWIN rockrider est900 is definitely compatible with the Lezyne macro drive 1000.
Also to add - I just phoned Decathlon, he isn't aware of any activation requirements and said whilst he hasn't fitted one himself that there are two connectors, one for front and one for rear. The company I bought the cable from only seems to sell one, so I would hope its the front...
Ok so had another search and realised there is a section on Decathlon website for my bike that states the following:
Your E-ST 900 mountain bike does not come with lights. However, you can fit it with a 6V light provided that it's listed as being "compatible with the Brose T aluminium motor" or...
Thanks for the reply - I am concerned the latter is the issue, the all round display has a headlight button and pressing it turns the icon on and off.
The trouble is I can find absolutely zero guides/videos/info on the Brose motor compatibility with the light.
Bought a cable to bridge the motor and bike light via Amazon and wondering if any of you can confirm if I’m doing something wrong as I can’t get the light to illuminate.
Bike is a Rockrider EST900 and I have a Brose T motor with a Brose all round display with headlight button.
The cable...
collecting a lezyne front wired light shortly - do I need to order any wire kits to connect it? Not sure what it comes with vs what the inside of the motor looks like
That’s great thank you, I have Velcro ties on the seat post upright and then it’s hidden under a plastic cover on the underside but I’m yet to fine tune the cable as I stupidly had the dropper post in the lowest position to start.
That said, I think the lowest position matched my original seat...
Hi guys.
Fitted my dropper for the most part this evening but stuck at the last hurdle - the instruction manual has the side on lever but I have the vertical lever like pictured above.
The final steps aren’t in the manual, but looks like I’ve done the same as in the picture above . I have...
Awesome thanks both ordering later .
I bought the b twin slim aluminium pedals for mine , they were £50 but i was lapping up accessories to fill my cycle scheme voucher - was frustrating as nothing I planned to buy was in stock on the day!
I have the original tyres but I’m tempted to go...
Thanks for the reply - It’s been back a couple of times now , has had the rear torqued higher, mine already had washers, next step is to try different brakes. He has ordered shimanos and a different size of the original brakes. Hopefully one of them fixes.
Thanks for the reply - I will buy this one thank you, presume it was 31.6mm you bought. Any pics you have of the cable routing would come in handy!
Any other mods to speak of? I’ll need a rear mudguard like yours as my current one is attached to the seat post.
Also trying to find a drinks...
It seems others have been impacted also but it’s going back under warranty for them to throw parts at the bike until it’s fixed, is there a definitive answer as to what the noise is caused by?
It seems the part making the noise is the brake pad/calliper but I have seen that:
-Tyre resonance...
Hi - I have an EST900 and like the saddle quite high for power but feel a bit top heavy downhill so a dropper post would be great
A friend recommended Brand X
Would like to hear what size others have fitted and how they routed the cable for inspiration
