So my Fuel Exe has been clicking around the motor area. Based on other comments I dropped the motor out of the frame to see if there was any play between the motor and frame. It seemed pretty snug (btw I do t actually have motor compensation screws). Put the motor back in and torqued the motor...
Hi, wondering how your external battery is going and if you made any progress with a higher capacity battery? Also I would be interested in your original STL files for the 160Wh battery if you are OK to share?
Regards
Steve
Hopefully you worked out the correct answer yourself. For others reading this thread in the future - Never update the firmware if you are happy with how everything is working. Bosch are playing whack-a-mole trying to stop the derestrictors in firmware updates
They have likely chosen a slightly higher nominal (average) battery voltage of 37V, depending on what they have set the BMS to cut out at. Generally peak charge voltage 42V, cutout around 30V ... but the useful capacity to voltage curve is not linear so yeah some flexibly in the numbers there...
Likely will not get the weight reduction you are proposing, while lower density cells are lighter, a number of components (cell casing, over pressure valves, battery interconnects, bms, battery case) are still the same. You would be better to go for a low powered ebike where both the motor and...
Bosch bike riders always seem to be cruising at low rpm ;) ... I find the Gen4 motors to be crazy powerful on a mountain bike. I have one on a Cargo bike that is 200KG laden and that is when you need all the power you can get!
Great design job there, love to know how you are going with the external pack, any issues and would you be able to share your STL files for any of your designs?
Cheers
