My Rise came with Dissector on the front and Rekon on the rear, with the weather likely to change soon I'll be wanting more rear grip...
Currently considering replacing the Rekon with a Forekaster v2, or maybe putting the Dissector on the rear and Forekaster or something similar on the front...
So is the SX going to be a smaller, lighter motor?
Maybe the rumour I heard that Whyte are bringing out a lightweight bike next year (so probably about 22kg 😄) is true then... 🤔
I've heard a rumour (from local Whyte dealer) that there's a lighter Whyte on the horizon... 🤔
They seem to be keen to get rid of current stock going by the current discounts.
I had a 2018 Jam2 that weighed about 22kg, had it for three years and over 3000 miles, it was my first e-mtb and I loved it.
Potential motor issues meant I decided to sell it cheaply and got a Whyte e150s, I was worried about the extra weight, it's 26kg, but I can honestly say I don't notice...
Just to be clear, can eco and turbo modes be modified on older pre-smart systems? If so, is that only doable with the Nyon? 🤔
And, do they have to be fitted by dealer?
Thanks 🙂
I had Tour mode on mine when I first got it, despite asking for the latest firmware prior to delivery... I found it worked well in combination with Eco but didn't give enough on steeper climbs so then resorted to Emtb mode, so rather a lot of mode changes during a ride.
I then had Tour+...
The thing I'll miss the most once the weather deteriorates is having a couple of beers sat outside a pub, not so nice when it's freezing cold or raining...
I'd love one personally, unfortunately funds won't allow for two e-mtb's and the full fat suits the type of riding I do, and who I ride with.
It's great there's so much choice, not so great are the prices...
Hi, to be honest I'd forgotten I had it still for sale on here...or that I still had it 🙄
Long story short, I sold it via ebay and then had a refund request saying it was faulty, wouldn't fully charge etc... I now have it back but I'm reluctant to sell it again in case there is an issue with...
I don't think sub 17kg is really achievable at the moment, unless it has lightweight components, I've just been out on my carbon Fazua gravel bike, it weighs nearly 16kg with pedals.
As for the pricing... 🤣🤣
Fair enough, at least you have respect for other trail users unlike some others in this thread.
Personality, I'd like the option of changing the assist limit myself, having it set to 20mph all the time would just kill the battery quicker, actually 17.5mph would be just about right, for me anyway.
My e150s has the same detail around the motor area, whilst it's not that noticeable I don't understand why the white bits aren't painted in the frame colour... 🤔
I did like the idea of a lighter e-mtb, nearly bought an e-zesty but thought I'd miss the full power motor, especially as most of my riding is with a mate on a Levo.
I ended up buying a Whyte which is one of the heaviest 🙃
I'd still like an e-zesty and have been looking for a used one as I've...
Has the used market gone quieter now? Mate has a bike for sale (not e-mtb) and isn't getting any interest either.
FWIW I quite like the colour but it could be described as a bit marmite... 🤔
