They’re being fitted by J-Tech when they have the forks to do a custom tune in the New Year and I’m weirdly excited to see how they look on my KSL and my (analog) FRS.
The Loam Wolf had quite a positive review of them, but I’ve not always found his reviews to match up with my experiences so I’m taking it with a pinch of salt!
He’s already got a pair of magpeds to try but I’m not convinced they’ll fix/help the heel down issue. A friend who’s been riding them...

It's clear that the battery issue is a manufacturing fault, ergo it was faulty when you bought it, therefore you have a right to reject the bike and request a refund...
You could try quoting the UK legislation at them which gives a 6 month window: Accepting returns and giving refunds: the law.

This "partial refund" appears to be a payment to cover the time the bike has been unusable -- the numbers roughly line up with the 1/72 calculation, but they've pro-rated it to the very day that the notice was sent out.
Using @DeanBeanoTaylor as an example, purchase price of the bike £6999 / 72...

Torque:ON CF Roczen, purchased mid July 2024 for just north of £8k, they've offered a whole £373 😂. Absolute bunch of clowns.
The website is now showing a form that allows you to claim a "partial refund" but there are no details if they expect you to send the bike back, or if this is just a goodwill gesture to compensate owners for the months they've been unable to use the bike...
Unsurprisingly it went really well downhill with the DH38s, but they didn’t do it any favours when pedalling! I won’t be leaving them on there, if I’m going to ride something that pedals like cr4p I’d rather just ride my Commencal (which these forks came off).

Well my favoured Öhlins RFX 38 forks are with J-Tech for a warranty claim (they’re only 10 months old and need a new CSU!), so I’ve bought a set of crowns to put the double crown Öhlins DH38s from the DH bike onto my KSL.

As long as you’re sensible about it you can go left under the wood barrier on the berm after the top line of A470 (1:40 in your vid) and pedal up the side of Vanta, it brings you out by the first a470 berm out of the woods (@1:03 where all the people are). Easy to session that way!
You had a crazy lucky escape on the case @2:13 — that table is notorious for flipping people over the bars if you 50/50 it, I think 3 people broke femurs on it in a 2 week period this summer.

There’s also the top of Watts Occurring but again it’s very twisty with some awkward tables on/around corners. Insufficient Funds is probably the closest to what you want.

I’m very happy with the results I’m getting from chain waxing.

They’ve probably done what they did with the Rise when it first came out and weighed it with the lightest possible tyres, no sealant, smallest size frame etc. It’s disingenuous but seems pretty standard.
It's fun (when you get it right) and the gaps are low consequence and smaller than Insufficient so it's a reasonable stepping stone trail.
They're supposedly extending it to run from the top as one of the 263932738 new trails being built so it'll be interesting to see how the existing section...
