Honda Canada has a price difference of $350 between the 1000 and the 2200, I would go for the 2200. The 2200 would probably run on auto throttle while charging the Rockies, much quieter if that’s a concern.

I think you should consider a better complete brake system. Bigger rotors and harder compound pads. What brand and model of braking system do you have?

I guess only Mister Shimano would know the answer. It’s like a lot of electrical problems that you trouble shoot with a DMM and they don’t go away until you replace the component with a known good one.

All circuits that conduct an electrical pulse should have some path of resistance that shows up on a DMM. Replaced the sensor with a new one and now it works.

New one is on order, no continuity through the old one.

In my area we have a group of five old guys that ride together every week. Two are newish(2023) Specialzed, one 2023 Devinci (Shimano ep8) and two Rocky Powerplays (Dyname). I can tell which buddy is behind me on the climbs by the sound of their motors.

The Shimano motor has an irritating whine compared to the Dyname. Can’t comment on the Bosch because nobody has one in our area.

They are flexable but easy to move off center when you bump them.
