I’ve done ~300 miles on linkglide so far, no signs of wear at all.
Btw, factory zeb mudguard is complete waste of money, except for looking good it does almost nothing. I ride in dry desert mostly and was getting constantly hit in the face with sand and small rocks with it. It depends on front...
Storm grey/gold is easier to scratch, so film is a must have.
On raw scratches are less visible and easy to buff out and polish away.
I’d go filmless second time because I’d go raw color, not because I dislike the film.
Film actually does a great job and doesn’t ruin the looks really.
Black decals can be removed. They are applied on top of protective film if you order with it.
Film not very visible on my storm-grey frame and it’s very thick and protective. It’s more visible due to subsurface scattering on the photo and overall visibility depends on lighting conditions. It...
I’m heavy rider (500-600 spring) but I also feel that 27-28% sag is sweet spot, as long as you can actually use full travel (depends on shock setup and BO control).
I rode both on 27 and 33, strongly prefer the former. It’s poppier, lively yet still forgiving enough. 33-35 is a bit too muted for...
M8130 shifter and derailleur
CS-LG700-11 cassette
CN-LG500 chain.
Note: cassette needs HG freehub body, preferably steel, so get one for your rear hub. Whole kit will probably be at least twice cheaper than XX cassette lol.
Any non-single speed chainring will work (9-10-11-12)
Also any non-12...
Yeah my linkglide is 11sp. Recommend.
As for stretching the chain and knowing how to shift and maintaining. I do all that, I even wax chains and I know how to shift and haven’t snapped a chain in a decade or more, but I do occasionally snap sram cassette teeth on larger cogs. Gx chain is just...
you ll also will have to provide ssn to them and power of attorney document so they can process it with customs on your behalf. Customs took 2-3 days, delivered rapidly next day after customs release.
Around $90 up to $150 irc.
You should choose option that it’s not considered a motor vehicle and is not to be used on general roads. There will be an option to provide free form explanation, specify that it’s class1 mountain electric bicycle for offroad use only, not equipped with lights, etc...
I ride same area/terrain. Cleanliness is an illusion. The flour-like dust is everywhere, absolutely everywhere. It gets inside battery compartment, into keyhole and into charger port, I just use dust-cans to blow it off once I get home, and finish off with dry cloth. Easier to clean but it can...
After getting 12sp sram gx chain stretch to .75 in about 100 miles I promptly installed Shimano linkglide XT on voima and it shifts beautifully and quietly. Cassette cogs are 1.5 times thicker than SRAM, all steel.
Full group with 2 chains AND hg freehub body was less than single sram cassette...
Hope hubs are pretty bombproof. Hadleys are good too, but I’d take hopes over hadleys tbh, especially ebike version without offset pawls. Less engagement but it doesn’t really matter on eBike.
I also make dt hubs skip even without motor, and even once simply rotated an unpinned cassette cog thru...
450km so far.
But I went OTB on a deep rut and shattered my kneecap and out of competition lol.
This happened not on voima, on 100mm bike. If I were on Voima I wouldn’t have crashed in the first place, it would have plowed thru that rut.
Now I have out figure out how to discharge the battery...
You should definitely flip the shock OR mini yokes. Currently both yoke offset and canister face ND side and protrude a bit too much, waiting to be caught in shorts.
@jbrown15 I think @Rob Rides EMTB has works reach adjust headset.
I use it on different bike and note that bottom cup adds significant amount of height, so it’s better with 180mm fork on Voima. But it ofc still will work with 190mm too, but will raise front end and change a bit more than just reach.
Same experience. Initially very good impression, but my 180mm lyrik rct3 + smashpot + custom tune is better, especially on brake bumps. Still shaky but more controlled and less sore hands. TI handlebars help a lot too.
Still, 2023 zeb ultimate is an impressive factory fork, but doesn’t compare...
I can fit 2 600ml into K4 frame!
And 2 800ml into Pole machine (with an offset adapter for top bottle)
Would not even consider buying a bike without at least single mount.
They do have sales or free shipping every once in a while.
Most probable date is obviously black friday.
Also often happens if new model introduced and they need to clear old stock.
