Great Points! I will look closer at the clearances.. Last time I went down the path of isolating that crash - I wound up focusing on the lock ring which locks rotor to the hub. Then the bike is on the ground and you pull the brake lever hard and move the wheel there is slight movement...
This is a bit dated. I have not changed anything but I still get a noise/vibration on the front wheel/brake. Here is a video of what I am talking about.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thank You.
Thanks for the info! I am in the process of adding the pins to my Calipers to see if that can eliminate some of the slop. The link in his video is no longer valid and I was able to locate some pins but they are 3MM diameter but I think my caliper will take a 4MM. Still researching but will...
Still waiting on the Rear Steps IceTech Rotor but decided to take the bike out today to bed in the front IceTech Rotor with Metal Pads. Immediately notice what seemed like a bit of forward and backward slop. If I put the front brake on and push back and forth on the bike there is definite...
I went with:
Front: 203MM XT RT-M800-L Centerlock Rotor and F203P/PM Adaptor/ J040 Metal Pads.
Rear 203 MM RT-EM600 Center Lock Rotor with steps Magnet/F203P/PM Adaptor/J040 Metal Pads.
Left stock F/R ,(2 piston BR-M6100.), Calipers on for now.
Rear IceTech Centerlock with Steps Magnet...
Regarding upgrading rotors on the Rise H15 to IceTech 203 MM. Is there a specific one to get for correct thickness and to accommodate the Magnet on the rear?
Thank You
Received rear rim with replacement HUB from Orbea. No identifying marks what so ever and LBS said its steel plated and did not know who manufactured it. Lets hope if lasts longer then 100 miles.
Picked up rim with New Steel plated hub today. I was hoping there would be some identifying marks/manufacturer info but nothing. Asked bike shop who the manufacturer is and they just said came from Orbea and is steel plated. Oh well - fingers crossed.
In U.S. FAA and Coast Guard have regulations on EBike batteries. Curious if there has been any effort by manufacturers to raise standard and do some certification program to seperate the safe well engineered ebike batteries from the others?
The Chosen Hub on my 2022 H155 lasted about 100 Miles. Waiting for a steel plated hub from Spain now. Had I known about this issue would have upgraded to a premium wheel/hub at time of purchase from LBS. Otherwise great bike! I guess they don't know which bikes have this issue.
Same issue here with 100 miles on new Orbea Rise H15 with the Non Shimano Hub with no identification. LBS says he has seen about 30 of these hub issues. Asked if it was better to just build a new rim because I heard some of the replacements are also junk. He said he would wait and that they...
