I bought an XO set on pinkbike even though I couldn't use the cranks or chainring.
I've got a fuel exe with i9 355's and Hydra hubs.
I'm using the original e13 32T chainring and aluminum cranks. It's working AWESOME. I will probably switch to the TQ direct-mount chainring when it is...
I'm giving this a shot. Have an XO transmission on the way. Just going to try it with the current E13 32T chainring and crankset.
I have i9 355 Carbon wheels with Hydra hubs and a microspline freebody, so I ordered this XD driver (and end cap) from i9:
A couple folks (including myself) looking at the same thing. Macbeth is closest afaik, see this page: Fuel EXe - Official Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!
AFAIK the TT-specific direct mount chainring for the TQ motor won't be available until ~June. You could theoretically find a TQ-compatible SRAM...
Okay, you're making me want to run with this for now and just wait until the t-type specific direct mount chainring is available in the future. Gonna go buy a transmission now I guess!
Nevermind, I think I get it. The AXS variants have a spider that connects to the SRAM chainring while the Shimano variants have an integrated chainring that isn't compatible with TT. Not a part we can order?
I want to run the TT groupset also, but wasn't sure what I need for the crankset/chainring to fit to the TQ motor... I'm still running the e13 cranks and chainring. Could you give me more info on what is this "spider" that is required to switch to the TT?
I went this route as well because I wanted the matte color you could only get on the 9.5 and I wanted a specific config.
Heads up that if you start getting an annoying creaking from the bottom bracket area it could be one of either the TSB for re-torquing the motor mounts OR (as in my case)...
Hey @Jack of All Trails, sorry for the long delay. I did finally get the bike into the shop. When I dropped it off they mentioned there was a TSB for re-torquing the motor mounts, but once they dug into it, they found that there is a Fox specific bushing for the rear shock that is needed and...
Bike has been silent as a ghost, but I just had my new wheels and XT cassette installed and got it back now it has a HORRIBLE creaking that sounds like it's coming from the bottom bracket. Don't know if this is coincidence or related to wheels/cassette install. Anybody resolved this?
