I have my Float X stroked to 152mm travel on medium frame (mulleted in high position). What size frame is your bike? I'm thinking of getting an X2 and doing the same.
Sorry didn’t mean it for it to be off topic. Reason I asked is because there were EXe specific things I never considered before due to it being an e-bike and having some known issues like the cranks coming off. I mentioned crank puller thingy and blue sleeve since others said they bring those...
Hey all, since it was briefly mentioned before regarding a day pack of tools and things to have with you when riding further from the local trails, I wanted to get some input on what I should have with me in the truck if I’m doing a longer day trip. For example a 3 hour drive to trail head type...
Have a somewhat related issue on my Fuel EXe that was not due to crash, but simply trying to torque down the UDH hanger to 25nm. The UDH ended up rotating through the carbon stopper that the hanger usually rests up against. Crushed the carbon stopper. Trek replaced the seat stay and the Trek...
It was seated against that stopper. I just began torquing down slowly (left-handed) and the UDH ended up pushing through the carbon stop (think counter clockwise movement like the left handed thread) before the torque wrench hit the 25nm. I immediately stopped when I saw the UDH move, but it was...
Just a PSA regarding the Sram UDH stop on the seat stay of the carbon frames - this part is very fragile. The UDH says 25nm torque, but I would not suggest that much. Enough where it doesn’t move and maybe hold the udh with your hand while torquing hand tight. The reason I say that is because I...
Sorry if you already answered this but when did you purchase your bike or is there a way to find mfg date? I should probably check mine but I don’t think I have any noise down there.
I finally had a day to drive to Trek (corporate owned/bought out store). I had scheduled an “on the spot” firmware update over the phone the day before. I had not had any updates since purchasing my bike on 11/30/2022 so I figured why not. It took half an hour and they tried to charge me $36.xx...
In that TQ motor install guide it does mention some motors without compensation adjusters..not sure what the description means though.. fixed installation dimensions for corresponding models? shrug
Yeah I wouldn't have a problem running a shim either. I ran across a solid deal on a take off for the 34.9 "Revive Max". Their marketing states they did take into account the larger diameter allows them to optimize wall thickness and the 34.9 is lighter (160mm is 580g) than other company posts...
I am running a 34.9 Bike Yoke 160mm dropper. It fits perfectly slammed into the seat post of a Medium. The actuator can be turned which helped it fully seat all the way in without snagging the frame. The 160mm is perfect for my height on the medium. With the BikeYoke lever as well, I've been...
Thanks I've seen this floating around the megathread. I may purchase this, just to have it on hand in case lower shock mount play does occur. I just need one kit for the lower, correct? Appreciate your replies.
Thank you. I only plan to remove one 2.5mm as I saw someone mentioned (maybe on FB group) that their Medium got dinged on the frame at 65mm stroke. Only reason I mentioned about leaving the shock and not removing it is I don't want my rear shock to develop play as it's been solid without the...
I have a 9.7 with the Float x in the rear. Can the 2.5mm spacer be removed while the Shock is still on the bike? Like twist the aircan off and down and remove the spacer? Does the Stock Float X come with any volume reducers pre-installed?
Finally does any oil or grease need to be added after...
Yeah no problems here. I opened it up to swap it to a 29” wheel (I bought two different caps one mullet one stock for bontrager 29”wheel) and inside was clean. I don’t think about it anymore. Just ride. I plan to use the speed limit increase a bit more after I move as I’ll be utilizing greenways...
No issues yet. Only done a few rides around the block. No trail riding yet but I don’t foresee any issues. Made sure to follow directions especially having a clean end cap and disc rotor was important. Spins freely, I don’t hear it over my tires. Solid product so far!
Yes the display on the bike computer will be incorrect. In the Trek Connect app only the top speed is incorrect. The average speed is actually the real time speed weirdly enough. Additionally when importing into Strava all speed values are real world speeds as in averages and top speeds over 20+...
