I can get my size L Cube eMTB into the boot of my Octavia (just) without removing the wheels, so the Superb should be fine.

I use Quadlock, works well, but beware that the vibrations can kill the focussing system on your phone’s camera (apparently).

I got the Bosch ConnectModule fitted by my dealer for £99, which includes the first year’s subscription free (about £40 a year thereafter). Alarm, immobiliser and GPS tracker in one small unit. Worth it for the peace of mind.

Newish Bosch 750wh, from 10% to 100% in 5 hours

Top tip: make sure you turn off the lock before your phone battery dies, or you’ll be riding home without any motor assist, and with the alarm sounding 😳

It’s a 750w/h Bosch. Had 10% left at the end, so pretty happy with that. I too love these Neolithic sites and ancient byways.

Lovely, isn’t it. I rode from Swindon to Reading, with a few diversions along the way. Am new to this eMTB thing so wanted to see how far I’d get on a full battery.

Did a 65 mile ride today, along the Ridgeway in southern England. Stopped at a 5000 year old Neolithic long-Barrow.

Flats for me. I tried cleats off-road, failed to unclip quickly enough, keeled over, and put my hand in a massive dog poo. Literally the most revolting thing ever 🤮

Unusual for London.

Bought one of these (the ConnectModule, not just the manuals). It’s an immobiliser/alarm/GPS tracker. It fits, it works, it makes beeping noises, it knows when my bike’s been moved or stolen, it sends messages to my phone, and I can track its whereabouts. £95 (+ £40 a year after the first year...

Old bloke, new here, former roadie, occasional MTBer on a hardtail 29er, just bought a ‘22-spec Cube Stereo Hybrid 140S. Am too old and useless for huge jumps or massive drop-offs, so this should do fine off-road exploration and general tomfoolery. Looking forward to immersing myself in the eMTB...
