None of it actually matters to me, the bike fits great, and feels pretty much identical to my Orbea rise. It 'feels' a bit smaller than my Trance X Elite, but I'm probably more comfortable on the Amflow
I'm came from a large Rise, I'm 180cm and the Amflow feels very similar. Don't think the reach is in question, just the top tube measurement, try measuring that on the Rise (no longer have mine)
Don't see any sniping from either of us, just a friendly discussion, and I think we've both come the the conclusion that the Amflow does come up slightly smaller than the Geo numbers suggest
Really? I find it interesting
Just measured my Large Amflow and I get around 605 top tube as well, also measure my revel rascal which on paper is 630, and that comes up about the same again at 605, so maybe I'm measuring wrong.
Who know, it's definitely a small feeling bike, but at 180cm the...
The Vala, on paper is 'slightly' bigger, and I've measured my Large Amflow and what I get is exactly as published
Edit - I'm wrong, re-measured, and agree it seems it come up smaller than the numbers
Only just got mine - I think eco mode is fine, probably like 20% easier than riding an analogue bike, which is perfect. Trail could definitely do with turning down and auto being more tuneable. Boost mode is fun!!
1. Not really You could go to 160 but you’d hardly notice. It would also make the front end even lighter
2 No (toward and longer stem might help)
3 no bigger battery available
I'm exactly the same height as you and tried a medium and thought it was way too small. The main issue is the very steep seat angle so my knees were almost touching the bars. The large didn't feel big for be by any means
If your rise is a 540wh battery the Amflow will likely go 35% further than the Rise at the same power, it's just physics. I used to own a Giant advanced Elite and ride almost everywhere in eco, but the power is great when you want it. The big power of the Amflow is certainly a pull for me
I know a good few people that have preordered the Amflow, and a few others, myself included seriously considering one mainly because the power to weight ratio and the superb integration really are a big step up from the competition. Yes there are still concerns over support and reliability, but...
That looks great! Like some of the custom colours better, and dont really need all that travel, so maybe not for me, but it looks excellent a proper Bafang battery is great too!
