As said, you CAN use the old MC App, still it is significantly cut down in functionality. It is not forcing you to update, the popup by start you can click away. It is important NOT to use the latest versions but v3.20 as example, AND dissable auto updates.

I experienced the same at turbo after ca 10 min of uphill. Power decrease comes gradually and it is hard to keep with the group. For sure it is not from overheat, i am light. Funny, the motor power output in mastermind says-all is fine.

Try to consider DJI new Amflow.

you can, just install manually the Version 3.20. Important! turn off automatic updates. Anyway Specialized made Mission control usage nasty- many features, including motor power draft, are dissabeld by Specialized OTA. They are not really there for us-end user- but for their Ego.

Uninstall the last update. Then install v3.22. It works, still many functions are dissabled by Specialized OTA.

For comparison, next ride recorded with old Mission control, same phone. All records consistent.

Probably found the issue of elevated HM in the new APP. The GPS recording seems to be unfiltered, and every height jump is counted.: MC app vs NEW App: The first part of the route is identical.

I saw it once by one strong 600hm, 10% road climb in 100/100 microtune mode (shuttle to hotel). Outside was just below 30°C. The first 200hm went well, then suddenly Brose started to drop the power down to ~350W. After some short flat section the motor recovered but up to the end of ride anyway...
