I have done 1900km's on my first Sram drivetrain ever, GX Eagle 12 speed. Pro's: XD driver, so easy to swap cassette when changing wheels. Lockout on derailleur, also so easy to change wheels. Robust, can take beating. GX chain lasted 1600km's. Con's :Expensive parts, one of the smallest coqs...
Yeah I totally understand that. I was working for U.N. peacekeeping forces in 90's in former Yogoslavia and there was this red clay which was sticky as hell and almost impossible to clean :D Glad we don't have that here...
I kind of agree on this on youtubers, but real journalists reviews I have trusted. And done my decisions based on reviews done by real journalists and my own prefrences and never rode any bike I purchased :D Year ago I ordered Bullit and have done 1800km on it and it is just as good as reviews...
I think you have wrong equipement if you have to worrie about adjusting cable tension on your sifter…or you ride 20000km a year? At least Shimano deore, SLX, Linkglide, XT or Sram GX eagle don`t need it, maybe little after break in, but that`s all.
What a beautiful weather today! Had to go for a ride even that I guessed that conditions are challening. Load`s of ice so impossible to ride without spikes but same time rocks exposed so really tricky to ride with spikes, so tricky that I crashed on rocks and was sure I wrote off my fork. But...
Linkglide wears same way as any other system, the benefit is that you can change gears anytime not thinking about it, same as T-type. Shimano is just lot cheaper. And of course if you are violent gear changer, Linkglide maybe lasts longer because it doesn`t care if you don`t know how to use...
