My no name hub gave up after 13 months. The bike shop weren''t prepared to chase Orbea for a replacement as they said it was out of warranty. I ended up buying a DT Swiss XM 1700 wheel set which I'm very pleased with.
thanks. I was wondering about the Trail Wides as the Enduros don't come in centre lock but was worried that they might not be stiff enough. Have yours held up ok?
I had a creaking noise on pedalling under load. The mechanic in the lbs finally narrowed it down to the fact that the pinch bolt on the linkage couldn't be tightened sufficiently. He put a washer on, torqued it up and since then no creaking.
I think that for most of my rides I'm doing over 1000m of elevation if that helps.
As for damping, I don't pretend to be an expert. All I know is that I have gone from Pikes on my acoustic to the Fox 36 and I think that it is amazing. It lacks a LSC setting but that suits me. I don't want to...
If it helps, I ride the Surrey Hills and have an H15. I'm the same weight as you. I ride with others on full fat bikes and have done rides of around 40k with them.
They do leave me behind on going uphill but generally don't have to wait too long for me to catch and someone is generally kind...
I normally use DMR Vaults but have just bought a pair of Gusset Slim Jim nylon pedals which have impressed me so far. Good grip and came at a good price.
I would have posted a pic of my new ebike, which was due on 22 February, then early March, but now apparently mid to late April, if it had arrived but no such luck.
Yes, you've got it, it's an Orbea Rise H15!
