On my carbon 2022 Turbo Levo I went from the stock 34T to a 38T. After reading quite a few posts that said it could be done and that the clearances were tight and the 34T chain length would work ok.
The clearance was tight but after more than a year of riding it has never touched the frame or...
As a designer and a photographer I really appreciate the thought that must have went through your mind to put together this out of the ordinary but very well done custom eMTB! Great job, obviously not for everyone, and most probably wouldn't have the eye to even approach a project like yours...
Pedaling Innovations were a game changer. They transfer power to the cranks way more efficiently, besides keeping my size 15 shoes firmly planted! Have them on all my bikes to date, can't say enough about them. Great quality.
If it is of any use, thought I'd add that on my 2022 S6 carbon I was able to use the 38t chainring. There is about 1/4" clearance when I am off the bike and expand to 1/2" or more when riding.
It sure makes the ratio of gears better for my type of riding.
Almost 1000 miles on it already with no...
You are right, the clearances on the 2022 carbon frame with the 38t chainring is quite tight at around 5mm. But as soon as your seated it will expand the distance quite a bit. I haven't had any issues with it but then again I do not ride trails or do jumps, gotten too old for that! But the gear...
I think the factories are starting to catch up with demand. Here in the US Specialized has an option to order from their website and it'll be delivered to a dealer to set it up, claims to be there in a week or so. Or they'll ship it right to your home and send out a tech for assembly. Don't know...
I'm 6'7", been on a 2022 Turbo Levo size S6 for around 6 months now, fits really well, first bike that feels suited to my height and reach.
Great bike, my first carbon bike, and with wireless dropper and derailleur very impressive.
Just changed my stock rotors from 203 to 220 front and back. Needed adaptor from Magura. Only issue was bolt length but I worked that out, no problem.
I weigh around 200lbs so the extra stopping power is welcomed. But also the heat dissipation that by going to a floating rotor will be welcomed...
Seeing the responses to this thread made me ponder the subject of our choices of the Turbo Levo.
Unless one had their head in a barrel of oats and was unaware, there were reviews all over the internet regarding motor issues of the Brose and its implementation on the Specialized Turbo Levo.
But...
I think of the Turbo Levo as a Ferrari or Porsche of ebikes. These expensive high performance cars quickly begin to lose their edge over others unless meticulously maintained by serious mechanics or owners. Run of the mill cars don't often need this type of attention as they are built in huge...
Curious as to what motor was replaced. I see quite a few similar posts on the Forum and was unsure if it was the previous Brose 2.1 or the new updated 2.2.
Updated 2022 Levo with Mastermind TCU this morning. Update took around 5 minutes and successfully updated firmware on motor and display . Battery had no update.
Took a 25 mile ride and didn't notice any difference in motor or anything else other than the display.
Display has a small "linked"...
Just a follow up on this topic.
I installed the 38t chainring on my 2022 S-Works Levo. I retained the chain that was delivered on the bike new with the 34t chainring as I read here that some users found that to work out ok. A couple of days ago I broke the chain coming from a stop on level...
