    Orbea rise 2023 m-team weight

I don't know what's up with Orbea's weights and those from reviewers. For the record, my 2022 H15 with a few upgrades and new 1750g wheels weighs 20.4kg without pedals tubeless.

    Rise US firmware installed😀

Hi, thanks for posting. I am slightly confused though. I have a later version of the firmware, so I understand I need to roll back my firmware to an older version, buy this app and connnect it, change the region, and then what? Can I update to the latest version of the firmware but it stays on...

    Rise US firmware installed😀

I'm coming back here after a long time away. I'm fed up with the absurd 15mph limit and want to switch my 2022 H15 to US spec. Is the "emax" method considered the best? Not sure what that is. I don't want to need to buy the shimano hardware box. Thanks.

    New 2023 Rise..

It used to be 1.1kg for the 2022 and the 2023 is a shade lighter in carbon - Does the 2023 alloy have the lighter/stiffer linkage?

    New 2023 Rise..

I've been to Orbea's website and it appears that it is only the M-LTD that has the 540 as an option. The M-team and M20 (no M10 now) only have the 360 as an option. With the bigger battery it's knocking on $12k, so maybe it's not so bad after all. Ha. edit: I have been corrected on this, I was...

    New 2023 Rise..

I'm sad the carbon comes with a 540w as it's the only reason I bought alloy. I shouldn't have trusted the dealer who swore blind that they would never put a 540 in the carbon as it violated the principle of the rise. Makes the hydro model totally redundant except for being cheaper. Oh well still...

I fixed the Ep8 motor rattle

I'm not sure exactly what you mean about drag - when pedalling the crank and the chainring rotate exactly unison. The only drag created is when you backpedal, whereas normally the crank should rotate freely backwards, with the boot it acts more like a conventional bike and rotates the chain...

I fixed the Ep8 motor rattle

It was unintentional. I just left the rubber ring on and then kept asking why is it that everyone keeps talking about motor rattle when mine is silent. Yes it is silent in all circumstances apart from the whirr of the motor obviously.

I fixed the Ep8 motor rattle

When I added xt cranks to my rise i left on the e13 chain ring and rubber boot/ring. The rubber ring touches the inside of the crank and creates slight friction if you backpedal. Without the ring (or with e13 cranks) when you go over rough ground there is a small amount of play as the crank...

How many watts does the ep8 RS put out?

Very interesting. I would like to change to us spec on my hydro

Power button issues in the mud?

I bought a rubber light switch cover and some modable plastic called sugruu to create a watertight seal around the switch. Has been perfect so far.

Replacement Wheels for the Race Face AR30C's

If you're in the UK I highly recommend DCR wheels. https://dcrwheels.co.uk/ I ordered Bitex 212 hubs with microspline, dt Swiss dlight spokes, and a 30mm 490g 29er "big boy" rim. Cost only £400 built and delivered. Lifetime guarantee and free trueing. They are rock solid and weight a paltry...

How many watts does the ep8 RS put out?

Does anyone know what the peak watt output of the EP8 RS is by any chance? I know the nominal sustained is 250w, but all ebike motors say that. And or as well what the max % multiplier of rider input is. I'm interested as the stock ep8 is 500w, the Levo motor is 565w, the Bosch is 600w. Thanks...

Will it Rise to the occasion?

Ah so you're only a little taller than me. Tbh I would stick with the stock 150mm dropper then and save the money on the one up. Yes centerlock discs, not 6 bolt. Actually I don't have the hunt wheels, but I think they are great. I bought some custom made wheels from a small builder, using oem...

Will it Rise to the occasion?

Haha. Yes we rule! I'm only 5ft6 and the 150mm dropped on a medium is perfect, so likely I assume you're somewhat taller, a longer dropper would be good. Slx brakes are identical to xt, you can even add the bite point adjust for free with a grub screw. I got my slx brakes from Germany, there...

Rise Up - What are your upgrades?

I got 160mm xt cranks and they are really good.

Will it Rise to the occasion?

Haha. You are on my journey a couple of months behind. Tbh the dissector on the rear is an awesome tyre, save the cash and keep it. 6120 brakes are an easier fit, however you only need a cheap connector from ebay to use slx and xt brakes. One issue is that the h30 doesn't come with the...

    New Rise H30: ? First (& maybe 2nd ;-) upgrade?

I'd upgrade the wheels. The stock ones are monstrously heavy, over 2300g. You can get a pair of hunt trail wide wheels for £300+ that will weigh 1850g or a nice pair of custom 30mm wheels for £400-500 and save a few more grams. Another dissector for the rear is good for grip with no weight...

    orbea rise mk II

It's weird that my h15 ep8 does not rattle at all. It makes no noise of any kind except the whirr of the motor when under load. Perhaps newer ep8s have the problem solved?

    Considering Selling My Rise H15

Wow I can't believe the anti ebike sentiment in the US. In the UK where I ride ebike are probably over 50% of the bikes I see. In Europe we also have the 15.5mph assist limit whereas in the US it is 20mph which possibly is a contributory factor to the anti ebike feeling. OP could sell the rise...
