Hi, I have had, Levo gen 2&3, giant stance, Merida e160 and currently on a trek rail 9.8xt. All are great. Levo has loads of grunt for going uphill, trek still pulls at higher speeds, especially useful if the bike is chipped. Trek is better for flows Levo gen3 loves going down hill. The Merida...
I went for a 38T chainring on my Trek Rail gen4. It transformed the bike. My bike is chipped and it allows better use of the gears. Unless you are climbing really steep stuff you don’t notice the extra effort. I used a FSA W1038 ebike spider and 1mm spacers the allow the the tooth/frame...
No I’m still on Bosch. I emailed peartune about it and they are working on a solution. One option is to use the ispeedy mechanical /1.5 device but you may need to change to a compatible rear and move the magnet.

I have a Rail 9.8 XT Gen 4 Smart System.....Had a Levo before that.
The Rail Bosch motor is better providing grunt all the way through the cadence range, it keeps providing good support at higher speeds.
Brose pulls like a train climbing uphill in large cogs, deffo stronger than the Bosch but...
As the SRAM is reported to be a Brose S-Mag.......few obvious questions
1 Are the connectors the same as the Brose?
2 Will a Brose/Specializes speedbox plug and play?
3 Will speed derestricting screw up the shifting?
Any ideas??
Getting on a bit at 49 and after a sports knee injury, the Dr suggested swimming or cycling. As pushing a mtb to the top of a hill is no fun in 2019 I bought a Giant Stance. A Vitus e-Sommet swiftly followed for the wee lad. Both bikes were brilliant although the Giant had all the electrical...
