    Norco's new Sight VLT 29er

I was able to reuse the stock shock hardware.

    Norco's new Sight VLT 29er

Congratulations on the bike! I’ve kept rear travel at 150mm but I did bump up the fork to 170mm. I think 180mm front travel would be pushing it too far but only you can make that decision.

    Norco's new Sight VLT 29er

It has been a game changer for me! I went with the Marzocchi Bomber CR and a Cane Creek progressive coil 550lb-670lb. I’m at 165lbs with gear on and it has been perfect for me. I did go up in spring weight by 25lbs over what is recommended because I prefer a stiffer riding bike but still want...

    Norco Sight VLT

You’ll need the Edge 530 or higher. The 520 doesn’t work.

    Norco Sight VLT

Agreed, that’s a lot of money for a base model. I’m sure people will still buy it not knowing the difference (new to ebikes and mtn biking in general) but just want to have a Santa Cruz.

    Norco's new Sight VLT 29er

It’s been a dream! I have a 2018 Transition Sentinel and the travel and geo numbers are pretty close so there wasn’t much I had to get use to. The Sight is more stable and that’s probably due to the weight and longer chainstay.

Here’s my 2020 Norco Sight VLT 29er C3 with some upgrades.

    Norco Sight VLT

I’m 165lb geared up so that’s a 70lb difference from you which could make a difference. Also, with the choice being between the E7000 and the EP8 I would personally find a way to get the EP8 even if it means waiting longer for it. The difference between the E7000 and the E8000 on the Norco isn’t...

    Norco Sight VLT

Sharp eye on spotting that and thanks I am happy with how this build came out! I was trying to get the C2 build but unfortunately couldn’t find any in stock for my size so I went with the C3 build. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the E7000 motor has been running and I haven’t had an issue...

    Norco Sight VLT

Yes I’m running a 550-670lb Cane Creek progressive rate coil and it has been amazing.

    Norco Sight VLT

I’ve got just under 1,100 miles on my Sight VLT 29er C3 with no issues. So far I’ve been pretty happy with this E7000 motor. Was worried it wouldn’t have enough grunt for the climbs but I’ve had no problems keeping up with my friends on their 2020 Levo’s, Orbea Wild FS (Bosch CX) and Giant...

    Norco Sight VLT 29 ZEBed

I’m running a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 Coil and it has been great. It’s an underrated fork since most don’t know it uses thicker walled stanchions than a Fox 36 and 38. I matched it with a Marzocchi CR coil with a Can Creek 550-670lb progressive rate spring.

Actually the 2021 Norco Sight VLT 29er will have a complete redesign. Same fo the Range VLT. This is coming from a solid source...

    Greatings from Southern California

I just demo'd a Specialized Turbo Levo and now I'm in search for more info because I had such a great time. I'm on a Transition Smuggler and will continue to have one but would be nice to supplement my bike collection with an ebike.
