I know this post is already a couple days old, but just in case the OP still has a squeak issue.
Couple easy tips: First make sure the front wheel is centered on the fork. With the bike on the ground loosen the quick release skewer and settle the axle into the fork - tighten. Then loosen the...
Well the white stuff is here, and it's cold, -10C.
Put the studded tires on for a few more miles aboard my beloved bike. Soon the snow will be too deep for these skinny tires!
All bundled up for cold weather
I thought I would update this thread with the choice I made for tires.
Bought a set of Schwalbe Ice Spike Pro tires. Turned out to be a great decision, the tires work very well on the frozen and snow covered trails.
However, as soon as the snow got deeper that was the end of off-road riding...
We're very lucky, this view is just a five minute ride from our house. We live next door to a Nature Park that is laced with trails and has an active trail building club that is busy reviving old hiking trails and building new dedicated mtb routes. Our local community has recently been awarded a...
I highly recommend the Kuat NV 2.0 rack if you have a real hitch receiver. It is very well made and secure. Rated to 120lbs (55kgs)
Holds our two e-mtbs with very little bounce or wiggle even on dirt roads. Real good clearance to spare tire. The hold down fits over the front wheel and is...
Hi all,
I did do a search but found mostly info about snow riding.
I'm looking for advice about tires for frozen trail conditions, not snow covered. The trails around here are already freezing at night and any moisture in the soil and fallen leaves have turned the trails hard and slippery.
I...
So...would you be willing to sell just the BTE-80 adapter? And ship to Canada?
If so how much? (I can't use the charger, we're on 120v mains over here)
Thanks!
Thanks, yes I finally found a review about the introduction of the new e8035-L and e8036 that states they are a bit longer and cannot retro fit to older e8035 fitted bikes. Grrr...
My first EMTB
Home made kickstand bracket for a Giant stand. I know, kickstands aren't cool but this is working pretty good so far, can't tell it's back there even on really rough ground. I'm old so no big drops for me and I like having the stand.
Thanks Sparked.
I saw your post about your bike coming loose from the Thule Easyfold XT rack. Very scary!
We bought one of those when we picked up my partners Giant but as soon as we tried to load the bike I wasn't happy with the clamp system Thule uses on that rack. No way to get a secure grip...
Anyone can tell me what came with their bike?
My partner got a new Trance XE+Pro3 bike from a bike shop in June. All we received with the bike was a box with the charger and small pamphlet about charging. Nothing else.
My new Cannondale on the other hand came with the charger (of course) and a...
OK, new member checking in here.
My partner and I picked up our first EMTBs in June/July. We're getting on in years and I've had three back surgeries so we've been wanting to get e-bikes for quite a while. A recent sale of land made it a reality.
Supply was a real problem here in SE British...
Thanks for the replies,
So..I'll give loading some snaps a try.
Weird, I can see the pics I resized in Finder on my iMac, but they weren't showing up when using "Attach Files"
I use a regular camera not a phone for my photos, so my shots are usually about 10Mb and need resizing for...
Hello from the East Kootenays in SE British Columbia Canada.
My partner and I have been wanting emtbs for a while and through the sale of some land we could finally afford a pair. That was back in June.
When we went looking to buy we got the supply issue surprise! All the shops anywhere near...
