The two colors for 2024 are Matte Pewter and Gloss Heirloom Red.
I chose MX wheels and opted for the Red as the Matte finish shows dust more easily.
I have over 800 miles on my 2024 with zero issues.
I did take advice, given somewhere on this forum, about using some small "D" shaped weatherstrip...
I had to trade the 170mm Transfer for a 150mm PNW because of leg extensio issues on my 2024 size LG!
Very frustrating and also very common with SC bikes!
Anyone want a REALLY good deal on a 2024 170mm Transfer with lever?
I looked on the M-D website and callrd them and they do NOT have extra small "D" shaped rubber window sealant in their catalog.
Very disappointing!
I will search automotive storesin my area for an alternate product.
Thanks for your help thus far.
Good morning all,
I work at a small bike shop in Western Colorado and placed an order for a 2024 Heckler as soon as I saw it on the SC website.
I sold my 2020 Heckler to a friend and sat back watching to see that my credit card was charged and the Matte Pewter bike had shipped.
Two days later...
Thanks for all the advice.
Hey Rusty, I'm considering converting to MX on my 2020 Heckler. Any negatives with your set-up?
Anyone else have experience with this conversion?
It will be a bit on the costly side at $650 but, is it worth it?
I will need a fork, wheel and tire!
Assagai is now...
Hi all,
I've been watching this thread with much interest but I'm moving in the oposite direction.
I have a gen 1 SC Heckler that I am very happy with and I am VERY interested a MX (mullet) conversion which will require a new fork (OEM 27.5 only from SC), front wheel and tire.
These parts will...
I have Code brakes with 200mm SRAM HS 2 rotors (2mm thick) on my Heckler and I plan to swap the brakes for TRP Trail EVO's.
TRP uses 203mm (2.3mm thick) and I'm concerned anout my rotor diameter being off by 3mm.
I do realize that that is only 1.5mm at the edge.
Do any of you have experience...
2200 plus miles on the Heckler and the flimsy Dirt Wizard is gone!
Replaced with DH R II.
When the DH F/DH R combo is done, Assagai front and ? go on.
Both 27.5 x 2.6.
The 2.8's are just a bit too vague handling.
Thanks for any input and suggestions for a rear tire in Western Colorado.
Hey VW,
Charger plugged or not, no difference.
I did hear from Robert, with Shimano, who suggested connecting with a laptop and run analysis.
I will post results.
We do have a few weeks before the trails are rideable.
Too much mush & slush here in Fruita!

Hi all,
I have a first gen Heckler S build that isn't playing nice. I should say "not at all"!
I finished my last ride of 2021 on Dec 14, tidied up the drivetrain, put the bike in the garage (temp controlled at 56deg), plugged in the charger and went inside for a tasty post-ride bev.
Sounds OK...
Hi all,
I really like the 27.5x2.6 tire size on my 2020 Heckler.
I am OK with the DHR II front & rear and wore through the rear at 760 mi., put the front on the rear and installed a 2.6 DHF on the front.
This combo worked very well.
Now, at 1490 mi., I've installed a DHR II 27.5x2.8 on the rear...
Hi acmc & rusty and all,
You will very much the Fruita vibe and trails!
As of now, the only trails open to emtbs are those open to motos.
There are plenty of miles from 10,000' of forested trails up on the Grand Mese to rock, ledges & sand at 4,400' with pinion & juniper.
Check in with Over The...
