Heart says Rail7, head says Merida e160 700…which way would you go

The issue with this being if your the last to touch it, regardless of what was touched or what the actual fault is, In the eyes of the person who is getting the bad news your to blame. Its shite, but coming from a motor trade background the amount of people i hear of saying "since you touched...

Winter riding kit - stuff to keep you warm and dry

First ride out yesterday with the Decathalon AM trousers, Hope/Endura jacket and 100% gloves, second with the five10 gortex shoes but rather than long socks i went with trainer socks. The only issue I had was the trousers wont stay down so the cuff rides up on the goretex of the shoes. Not a...

Experience of Rail 5 from exisiting owners

Ha yea thats it! Yes i got the ebike specific uberbikes pads. I shafted my standard pads in 3 rides but i think that was due to poor alignment. The rail 7 has shimano and im as you say alot of people are swearing by them as upgrades so i keep peeking at pinkbike to see if anyone is selling some...

Experience of Rail 5 from exisiting owners

I have had some brown trouser moments! I imagine if i weighed 4 stone less they might be alright! I put some uberbikes pads in and they were 100% better but still nowhere near as good as the standard brakes my mates rail 7 came with. I think ill be upgrading to Magura MT7 in the future!

Experience of Rail 5 from exisiting owners

Only thing i have done to mine is change out the tyres that came with it. and gone tubeless! So far the rest of it seems to work pretty fine and im a big lad! My first proper change will be the brakes because if im honest they are just shocking!

Winter riding kit - stuff to keep you warm and dry

I agree to a certain extent! But on saturday we were so wet that any slight breeze made your whole body cold. Keeping as dry as poss is the best start to staying warm i would say! :)

Winter riding kit - stuff to keep you warm and dry

Nice one for that, Ordered one! Need to find some wet legs now, Was thinking of getting some over trousers but i thought they might be weird if they were loose or anything, Quite fancied the Endura trousers that work with the click liner because thats what liners i have but not sure which to...

    Review 5.10 Trailcross GTX (Goretex)

I have a pair of these and went out on saturday. My socks stuck out over the top of the shoes and i think that was the reason for my wet feet! Although even though they were wet. They werent cold feet! I still take that as a win, Ill be wearing some short socks next time to see if they work...

    2000wh portable ebike battery charger

Dont get me wrong. I understand it, But i just see it as being an expensive way round, A full setup to make your van able to charge the bike using battery/inverter/solar probably wouldn't cost this amount. I guess with this you can swap it between vehicles easier. Maybe just me being from...

    2000wh portable ebike battery charger

1 - I guess anything is better than nothing 2 - Im thinking more on the lines of a proper inverter/split charge setup - Ive got a 2000Watt inverter in our van which is solar/DCtoDC charge so getting free power isnt an issue. 3 - I suppose the only other option would be to ask where your camping...
