Glad your replacement motor is still quiet. I had my motor recently replaced for being overly loud. I only have a few rides on the new motor. I’m really hoping it stays as quiet as it is now.
I love riding in AZ. My son goes to NAU in Flagstaff, so I visit there a couple of times a year. Plus...
I’ve got about 500 miles on mine and it is getting noisy. At the start of a ride it seems reasonably quiet, but after the motor warms up it becomes louder. Reminds me of an RC car. It also develops a ticking noise on left crank downstrokes, that’s not there at the start of a ride.
I’ll...
I cancelled my range extender order today. LBS said they’ve been pushed again to January. I bought a base carbon Levo which came with a 500 Wh and 700 Wh battery. If that’s not enough for me I’ll just buy a moto. :)
Are you using the AXS battery on the derailleur or did you hard wire it into the EX-E main battery? Just curious. I’ve got an EX-E and am contemplating the new AXS.

How much dropper post insertion does the frame have? (alloy & carbon)
S – 190mm, M – 225mm, L – 250mm, XL – 280mm. The minimum amount of insertion is 80mm.
Thanks for posting your comparison. I was curious what you’d think. What you stated is kind of what I figured based on all the comments from various sources.
I sort of agree with your perfect bike. I think a mashup of the SL and EXe would be so good. The chassis of the SL (as a 29er), stealth...
No kidding. July will be 1 year from the bike intro, right? The damn new Levo SL actually beat the EXe extender to market. I was placing bets which would make it first. I lost.
I’m pretty sure now there’s something wrong with the motor. On today’s ride the drag was noticeable. It felt like the motor was giving less than half of what it said it was. I could feel occasional surges or where the drag would be less. By the end of the ride I was using Boost to get up hills...
I’ve recently purchased and started riding with a hip pack in preparation for extender. I’m not a big fan of back packs. The hip pack is a reasonable option for me to carry 1 bottle or up to 2 bottles plus 1.5L bladder.
I’ve tried pedaling uphill with the motor off. It sucks! I was thinking that using assistance over the last few months has jaded my senses and sapped some of my fitness. But after reading your comments, I wonder…
