shim is OEM on S-works as you say so should be fine but you will be running a different shim spec. worth checking with Specialized Elite LBS.

This makes PERFECT sense. Appreciate the response. Also had confirmed that the 34.9 is stiffer (obviously) and will be less prone to shim squeak. Going in for the 34.9 ?

Hey folks, seen a few threads on builds using a 34.9 / 170mm AXS upgrade ( straight swap out for 34.9 Xmanic) but wondered if there were any issues?? S-Works is spec’d with 30.9 / 170 and a shim for a reason I guess? cheers.
