Why is everybody so down on the 15% sag? Fox recommends 15% for firm and 20% for plush on the 36. I know Rockshox recommend more but I think Fox know their own forks. Personally I am only 72kg and run 95psi with no tokens to give 15% sag and find it perfect. Very linear rather than progressive...
Hi Steve that's exactly what I have done. I wish my kitchen scales were a bit more accurate but I certainly removed a fair bit of material and still looks much larger than the 0.2. Will get a ride on Friday hopefully.
Wow Rusty, that is very cool that you make your own. I very much like your suggestion that it's not the number but the performance that counts so I will go ride my sanded down reducer and see how it goes. I had not thought about drilling holes in it as Bam Bam suggests but that is a very quick...
I have a DPX2 rear shock and after 18 months riding have decided that I want a volume spacer between 0.2 and 0.4 cu inches. Fox however do not make a 0.3.
I weighed (on my non expensive kitchen scales) the 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 cu inch reducers and they were 3,6 and 9g respectively. This kind of...
Rise M10 for 16 months. 5,000km hard enduro style riding and no issues specific to Rise. Had usual wear and tear on drivetrain and bearings but zero issues with motor, battery and frame.
Right that makes sense. I also notice a massive difference between muddy and dry conditions and between max grip and max terra tyre compounds. Now that we have dry trails and I’m running max terra on back it’s much more efficient. I’m in Scotland btw. Very muddy winters.
I have had an M10 for 15 months and only ride enduro ie straight up and straight down. I weigh 72kg. I get about 800m elevation over 18k typical ride in Trail at 42nM. Will have 10% to spare. I have extender and with it can easily do 1400m climbing. Occasionally I will ride just Eco and you can...
I had zero issues with the wheels from new but needed a new rim and after re-build Silverfish not happy with the build and apparently quite a few e-mail exchanges with RF about spoke lengths
Silverfish though that drive side spokes were too long (303mm) and wheel not tensioned correctly as a...
Hahahah....don't get me started on the wheels! My RF Turbine R developed micro cracks round the nipples so got sent to Silverfish for new rim and wheel build. After much arguing between SF and RF about spoke lengths, the wheel came back. Ever since spokes have been coming loose all over. The...
I’ve had my M10 for 14 months now and done 3,500km and 150,000m of climbing. I have had nothing but hassle with a loose rear end. The initial feeling was like the axle wasn’t tightened up properly. I have changed main pivot bearings 3 times and all bearings twice. One definite issue I’ve had...
