With a claimed 300% increase in life, I'm keen to put this to the test but I've had the 10 speed kit on order since February and my local bike shop is telling me the cassette is down for march 2023 delivery!
Crazy!
what with a 5-year warranty, I do wonder what they'll do when they run out of frames? it's not as simple as replacing it with the newer version of the frame. an ebike probably needs a new motor and battery combo at least! from my understanding, the ep8 motor uses the same mounts but the snake...
It seems there's also an issue with the chainstays snapping as well! mine is ok so far but I have no trust it's going to be any different to the ones failing :(
Following on from the Decathlon video/posts, It got me thinking what other bike companies use generic Chinese frames? I've been looking around (as I'm sure I'm going to need a frame only to keep ebiking due to the mounting problems I've had with mine) and I've found this (see below) it looks...
So, Since I've had my ebike, I've had issues with the shifters slipping around the handlebar and the clamp on the shifter won't go any tighter. I have removed it from the bars and discovered on refitting, it clamps fine on the end of the bar where there isn't a channel in the bar for the cable...
just thought I'd revisit this post to see if anyone else is having issues which it looks like they are!! anyway, my second frame is ok so far but the Seatpost was sticking Raliegh and Lapierre were hopeless in advising me how to service it so I took it out to fit a new cable. while the post was...
Amazing looking bike. Love the cable routing, but what happens when you fall off? (you tested that right, Rob?) what stops the cables being stretched if the bars spin 180degrees in a crash?
All that's missing from that cable routing set up is a pots mod for those in the know!!
we were told to use the slots nearest the front, but i dropped the back wheel into a regular slot and it fitted, i didn't try the front wheel but I'm sure most 2.8 tires will fit if the first 2 spaces are gone!!
this is where mine has just cracked. after 8 months too! it sounds like they are going to replace the frame. but I'm seriously worried the second one isn't going to last either. it's not like I've done anything different from my other bikes. by previous specialized pitch is still going after 8...
No issues liked that, it's what you'd expect from a Shimano system. Not sure where to look but see if you can find the route I posted in the forum. I did a total of over 35 miles riding some of the biggest hills in my area.i used all 3 modes on that ride so when you see the ride profile, I think...
The bike rides great, really pleased with it as a whole, I find the battery rattles a bit on rough ground but an thick elastic band around the top of it seems to have silenced this. The lock feels every poor quality and My friend has had hers changed once and it still feels groggy, the battery...
I've been looking for a good solution for some time and this is the best I've found so far. it has its own long-lasting battery. they tell me a shimano version coming later this year. yamaha and bosh now available https://www.fullycharged.com/pow-unity-gps-tracker-2018
many years ago i got a spybike tracker which fits in the steerer tube, it was supposed to last i think 3 months on one charge but it barely lasted over a week. i think this was due to it being in my garage with no mobile coverage so it was constantly scanning trying to lock onto a signal, pretty...
on starting today's ride, my friends bike wouldn't power up, light was on, the display was off and the Di2 gears wouldn't shift. this is the second time this has happened. the only way we could get it working was to take the battery out and put back. i wiped the connections (which didn't look...
