    Speedbox 3.0B data transfer?

I asked Speedbox directly. It’s not possible at the moment to pair the Speedbox 3.0B to a smartwatch or cycling computer. I told them that I believe some people would love that possibility, and would also like a simple data transfer box (without the derestricting part). They replied they will...

    Speedbox 3.0B data transfer?

Hey, Apparently the Speedbox 3.0B can transfer some data to the Speedbox App, and to other apps? So the question is: can we use it to transfer power and cadence data to StrAva, or better yet to a Garmin device (currently using a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro). I have zero interest in deristricting my...

    Should e bikes have gearboxes?

Effigear is about to release a “solution for e-mobility” in 20 days: https://www.effigear.com/ as a reminder, they designed a gearbox, mounted on Cavalerie bikes, that compete for a few years at world cup DH level through team Dorval. Worth checking what they come up with. Maybe just a city...

    Kiox and Bluetooth data

Ok thanks! That sucks, but it saves me some money as I can keep my old - scandalously obsolete in 2020 - Purion

    Suggestions for good centerlock rotors

Hum it’s actually more complicated than that, as I have the magnet in the disc (currently Shimano RT EM600-L). so I would need a centerlock disc with magnet installed, so I guess I’m stuck with Shimano rotors... Unless you can buy a magnet for centerlock discs? I know it exists for 6-bolt disc...

    Suggestions for good centerlock rotors

Hi, I’ve got Shimano XT hubs, and I’m looking to change the discs. Problem: the hubs have centerlock disc mounts. Also I do not want centerlock to 6-bolt adapters, it’s just another potential source of creak or rattle. And potential risk of failure too, some disc manufacturers forbid the use of...

    Kiox and Bluetooth data

I would be interested if you could get the Kiox to send the rider power info to the watch? Thanks!

    Kiox and Bluetooth data

On my former sport watch, the built-in HR sensor was not very good for mountain biking. Too many wrist movements in descents, the HR sensor was losing it. So I purchased a Decathlon HR strap, works like a charm with the Garmin Fenix 6, and I never used the Fenix built-in sensor. The Kiox should...

    Kiox and Bluetooth data

thanks! the best would be to get that data without having to create a Bosch ebike connect account. I already have Garmin Connect, Strava, and Trailforks. I don’t want/need another one! :)

Anyone tried to lock the hub freewheel?

Hehe I guess the grease is not such a good idea then. thanks for the info!

Anyone tried to lock the hub freewheel?

Thats how I understand it. The chain and chain ring would spin, but not the motor. EDIT: so the next question now is: would the motor clutch bearing be able to cope with this ? Or would it break, or wear quickly?

Anyone tried to lock the hub freewheel?

Interesting, I did not know about that prototype. Only knew about HXR product HXR also proposes small spacers to lock the ratchets of DT Swiss hubs. For proof of concept, an alternative to completely locking the freewheel hub could be to pack it with thick grease. Thick enough that it would...

Anyone tried to lock the hub freewheel?

Hi guys, kind of crazy idea here! I’ve got a Bosch Gen 4 motor on my brand new Moustache Trail 8 Saison 10. Good fun! I do get the rattle from the motor in descent. So I was wondering if it was possible to lock the HUB freewheel, so only the motor freewheel spins. The drivetrain from HXR easy...

    Kiox and Bluetooth data

Any update on that topic? I would really like to have the information of input power and cadence, fed to my Garmin Fenix 6 watch, mainly for training purposes. Note that I only have a Purion console, but would retrofit to Kiox if this data transfer to Garmin devices was possible. I would also...

    Lapierre EZesty

Sounds like a dream build for sure! I could very well be wrong, but I don’t think there is any difference between the factory Fox DPS and the performance one, beside the Kashima coating. maybe the tune differs? what do you think about the wheelset on the AM 9.0? Good quality? Not too heavy...

    Looking for the first ebike

Alright, thanks for the advice! i would prefer staying on a 27.5 setup. worst case scenario a mullet bike. But I really cant see myself on full 29er ebike. Sadly that leaves out a lot of good options...

    Looking for the first ebike

Thanks for the feedback Steve. I can do these long steep climbs with my regular mtb, but I really struggle (last Saturday ride : one climb at 11.9% average on 3.8km = 40min of suffering at 183bpm average) and as a result I find less and less pleasure riding. I‘m hoping I can ride these long...

    Looking for the first ebike

Thanks. I think if I dont buy the eZesty, I’ll go for a Moustache Trail 27. Or maybe the new spectral:ON. but the Lapierre eZesty has my preference for now.

    Lapierre EZesty

Apparently the suspension platform is good, and the problem is the shock: http://linkagedesign.blogspot.com/search?q=Ezesty good anti squat, medium kickback, low brake squat, and slightly progressive suspension. so really we need to find a replacement shock :) EDIT: I’m wondering if the...
