Comp carbon, so all carbon frame. Chest mounted camera, but it has exaggerated the volume somewhat. Compare the motor noise to sounds of changing gear. I am going uphill here. Chain is well lubed.
Make no mistake, this is dramatically louder than my 2018 Levo.
Check out my noise here...

Took it to my dealer, and we compared it to their SL demo - they were both the same.
I've just switched from a Levo to SL. I am 69 years old and not particularly fit, and live in an area with a lot of very stiff climbs. The only reason I have changed is so that I can lift the bike over fences, and in that regard it is a success. However I have also found that I can ride even the...
I hope mine gets quieter. Did 14 hilly miles today totally in eco as a test, and the noise was terrible. I shall repeat the same route tomorrow in trail for a comparison. This is a brand new bike, and that will be the third ride, so early days.
OK, here's my take on it. The SL is my third Levo. I had the 2017 Comp Carbon and the 2018 Comp Carbon, so over 3 years of riding them. I wanted a lighter bike. I'm 69 years young and struggle to lift it over fences.
The previous Levos were fantastic, and pretty quiet. This SL makes a terrible...
Just rang my BMW dealer. None available world wide, apparently. You are a lucky guy. I'm guessing this must be a DC-DC adapter, so no inverter involved. Specialized should sell these!!!
Mine arrived today. I already had the magnet and rotor bolts, so fitting was completely straight forward and took only a few minutes.
The system works beautifully. The dimensional tolerances are perfect. A snug fit onto the rotor and the axle. Brilliant!!!
Well done jd_3d you are a star!
I ride Dalby frequently, as I live nearby in Guisborough. When I meet other riders who ask me about my ebike, I tell them that when I used to ride Dalby Red on a regular bike, it took me about 4hrs 20mins and I was always utterly and completely knackered (I am 68 years old). My best time on my...
I did mine myself. Not too difficult, just a bit tedious. Just take your time and use lots of water diluted with Johnsons Baby Shampoo. I found that there is an ideal order of fitting each piece so that you don't have pieces overlapping each other. Also, it's best to not butt pieces directly...
I'd be amazed if the body of the frame around the motor got to 95°C ! What's the worst that could happen - the trim tape could come unstuck? I've just bought a complete roll of the stuff for £4!
Yes - call him. 01287 610735.
They are my local dealer, just a mile away, so I am lucky in that regard. When I popped in for mine, it was the fifth one he'd made that morning!
