Before I bought my 1st E Bike I researched the motor brands and the Bosch was the one that stood out. I've done 3000Kms so far with my Gen 4 85nm and all good. For whatever reason I don't expect it to last forever and I'm open to servicing the engine if it needs it? What price do you put on...
Hi All, I have been using the Volspeed Chip with a Purion display and it has been working fine. I upgraded to the Nyon display and new Bosch firmware and the normal activation sequence doesn't seem to work as per normal. We have been able to activate the chip spasmodically by pressing - and +...
I've just done a firmware upgrade with the new Tour+ mode and my Volspeed has now done over 2500KM's. A lot of people seem to blame the chip everytime they have a problem. My riding buddy has also done over 2500Km's so far and no problem with his Volspeed. I recommend it and remember you only...
The whole terrain is changing ATM. You can't buy new bikes anyway at the moment, stock shortages are the problem. I think the current Gen 4 with 625W battery is fine as it is, I'm getting 3 hours plus with 1200M easily (Around 60Kms) . That's enough for me. I bought a 6 amp charger and if I stop...
Still my favorite channel EMBN. Steve Jones is a class act and the rest of the team all play their roles. Like anything you need to understand they are sponsored. So many bikes on the market they must be diplomatic and they usually are. There is a strong Specialized Flavoring but that's ok. One...
My small group has 3 Throns. 2 x 6.8 and 1 x 6.7 and one of the guys had chain suck which the dealer has now finally confirmed it was caused by having an incorrect front chain ring. The chain suck scratched the paint on the bike so they have agreed to repair the paint damage too. We aren't sure...
My noise wasn't coming from the derailleur area either. It was coming from the chain ring and pedal area. Isn't the chain ring specified by Bosch and part of the Bosch motor kit?
Sorry forgot to mention I replaced my chain after my issue as it had damaged the chain enough and for the sake of a new 12 speed chain it made all the difference.
I'll get a pic for you tomorrow some stage. I had a bike mechanic who I know to be very good look at it. This was not the place I bought the bike as it's a fair way away from me (Only place that had stock of the bikes in Victoria at the time). Typically with these noises it's nearly always...
I bought the 6.8 around 2 months ago. I had a similar noise not long after I got it. I was also suffering chain suck. My issue was the outside shield on the derailleur which was bent in a little and rubbing on the chain. Not sure how it happened but all good now. The bike is very comfortable and...
