Had my Motor (21 Wild FS)replaced recently, ever since I got it back I've thought it felt different.
Tour seems to be different, it ramps up the harder I pedal(I think). have they put the new firmware on it so it's now"tour+" ? I remember hearing a bit about this years ago but can't find any...
from my experience the odometer was reset when got a replacement motor after 1700km.
so apparently only dealers can reset the odometer, but I really would not trust that, digital car odometers have been hacked or 20+ years now and it's probably not that difficult.
however, It should be really...
is there reliability poll on the forum? I know 8 people with e-bikes, and 5 of them have had a new motor or battery replaced under warranty in the first 2 years. I've had a new battery on my Gain and new motor on the Wild, so if we count my 2 bikes thats a 7 out of 10, or a 70% failure rate...
Where was the article? I don't understand why it isn't more common, it gets rid of the need for an inverter and makes the system so much cheaper to install and maintain. and it would be much better than solar thermal in this country I think. I believe really small systems exist like that for use...
hats the brand of water cylinder you have?
I was looking at upgrading my combi boiler setup to an unvented cylinder (heated by the same boiler) and was thinking of getting one of these Mixergy cylinders. main reasons for upgrading :
how water as soon as the tap is opened or nearly(the combi...
Have there been any accounts of reputable, looked after brands of batteries just suddenly catching fire? since owning an e-bike I've been know to get a lot of stories sent to me about the damage they do when they catch fire, but all are cheap Chinese batteries or DIY conversions as far as I know
They may help contain it slightly but as they are cheap Chinese creations don't expect much.
If you watch videos of lithium battery fires on youtube they are quite violent so a think bag probably isn't going to completely contain it for long.
I had a hip Arthroscopy in Oct 2020, still recovering.
what I did find is mountain biking is not good for it(or it wasn't in 2021, and even last year) it used to feel like on the way up to the top everything would feel loosened off and I was getting a workout, but then coming downhill stood up...
good choice. which 2020 bikes are you looking at? I'd be worried about a battery being sat around for years not being used.
there are loads of 22 bikes at good prices, here's 2 examples:
Sale - Trek Rail 5 625w (Crimson/Lithium Grey) 2022
Orbea Rise H30 2022 | Tredz Bikes
I got a set of the Culvert Mid's a month ago, I'm not that impressed with them.
they are not easy to walk in, sole is really stiff
the sole is not very grippy on the pedals (compared to five-tens) I've never slipped when descending and going fast but it's always when climbing or going slow and...
seems the error is back, took about 20 resets to get it to work today and it wouldn't ride for more than 1km before stopping and showing error 510. took loads of resets to get it to work, did 4km and gave up and came home.
after cleaning the bike I put the original 32T ring back on and took it...
thinking of buying one, anyone have any experience with either of these? it has to a small one whatever I get as there's just not much room in the garage

Dent is the name of the fell, also know as "Bike Park Dent" there used to be loads of trails to ride up there but they are not in the best of condition now as a lot of the forest has been cut down. some are rideable again but the access roads are all trashed and not really accessible unless you...
not that I know of, and looking at this webpage It looks like the old plugs don't have enough pins to support such a feature. the newer "smart" system has a different plug, perhaps that has this feature?
EDIT, actually the batteries do appear to have 5 pins it's just my basic charger only has 3...
before my ride today I took the motor guard off to reveal the connections, discovered tons or mud and pine needles so cleaned all that away, took the connections apart but they look undisturbed, there's actually a ton of slack on the speed sensor wire so it doesn't look like they would have even...
My bike ('21 Wild FS) has been fine for almost 2 years, a few weeks ago I had all the frame bearings replaced and at same time fitted a 34T direct mount chainring to replace the standard 32T one with a spider.
last ride I was getting 510 errors all the time as soon as I get into stop/start...
never heard of that brand but I have an Orbea and I can use 2 x flat bladed screwdrivers to remove my battery with no key,
then could replace with something like...
I'd go with a heavily discounted new 22 bike, there are loads for sale. there was a trek rail posted on here for ~£3600.
I was tempted to say you could look out for a bargain, I know there will be plenty of people who have bought an expensive bike in the last 2 years and not ridden them much at...
steep seat tube is better for climbing, slack head angle better for descending so yeah they are basically designed with the intention of going up and coming down
I'd definitely go for a full suspension too, unless you are riding fire roads and bridleways. the rear suspension will stop the back...
