Some people say that the HC3 adjustments do nothing? So are you able to adjust modulation? I suspect the choice of pads will affect the bite therefore locking up more. I see people using perfomance pads as they don’t have a strong bite as the race version ... what jagwire model are you using?
Ok thanks. I had a dud calliper from factory with the seals gone so couldn’t really get a good bleed. I’ve done good bleeds before. What’s so tricky about the maguras?
Hi there,
After spending some good amount of money trying to get my SRAM codes to work and failing it’s time to move on !
I’m about to pull the trigger on a set of Magura MT7 brakes with MDR-P 220mm rotors front/back ...
I’m planning to install the brakes myself, and possibly shorten the...
I like the quality of the code RSC brakes and the modulation but was not happy with the stopping power on my decoy elite.
changed the rotors to Galfer 223mm and Galfer epads matrix and they can stop a train going downhill.
they bite hard but still have incredible modulation.
What happens if one needs to carry the bike on the back of the car and needs to remove the wheel for transport? Every time will have to apply locktite? That’s madness
When you say hub axle do you mean the quick release? I’ve had issues with both of them. I assume the thread on the captive must be the issue. Isn’t going to make even more loose if I apply grease to the thread? Should grease be applied only on the shaft?
Thanks
I got my decoy elite delivered a few weeks ago. I’ve been in love with the bike but I’ve been having issues the rear axle.
The first couple of rides the rear axle came undone, in a really dangerous way in the middle of the trail. Tightened back and made my way back home. After much research I...
Well first things first: do you want a trail bike or an enduro? The 29 has a different travel and it rides and feels different than the elite which is a mini downhill rig.
Once you know if you want to ride a full 29er or a mullet that should narrow your choice.
Shocks and rims can easily be...
Hi folks,
I love the combo DHR 2 rear Assegai front on my Decoy Elite but the 2.8 is too wide for me. Ideally I'd go for a 2.6 or 2.5 DHR but they don't come with Double Down or Downhill casing (why?)....
So two questions: am I crazy to go with an EXO+ casing if I run tyre inserts? Or should I...

It is interesting to see how some of the reviews go: Oh it's great uphill but very twitchy on descends (even with a 64º head angle!) and other reviews go: it gets you to the top but it really shines when you point it down... ?♂️
The top spec: for this price you should be getting fox factory...
That’s very interesting. Did you change your flip chip to low? Are you getting a lot of pedal strikes? Do the 2.5 work well with the 35mm 27.5’ rims?
thanks
Have you taken your Decoy to BPW? If so did you take the uplift or did pedal up the hill?
I'm wondering how many runs one can do climbing in Boost mode...
thanks

@mikeyneale21 I love to hear stories when you meet famous people and they turn out to be great and kind people. Glad that McGrath was a cool guy, I've met some actors in the industry but I don't get fazed by it. It was a different experience when I met Greg Minnaar in Peaslake, lol! He's the...
