Have tried the standard magnet off my spare bike- focus, made no difference. Trek has been using its own magnet since the beginning and has never been an issue.
Maybe for a little while, but you won’t be getting full contact on the terminals and they may wear quicker. They wore on my rail 9 and I would get power cut out, hence why I had to pry up the bottom battery mount. It didn’t have the battery plate though.
One or two washers between the lower battery mount and the battery plate to space it up might do the trick. Painful to do though as motor will probably have to be removed.
No sorry you are right, you can’t slide it up only rotate it with the plate. My Rail 9 didn’t have the plate and once I moved the bottom bracket up it removed all play and was rock solid. I might take the plate out of my 9.8 and try it. If not I’ll sell it and get a Levo, as much as I love my...
Just adjust the bottom battery mount to get rid of play. Turn bike upside down, remove rear wheel and motor bash guard. Loosen torx screws on lower down tube battery mount, put a lever such as ratchet handle etc. through under motor and lever up lower battery mount to take up play and tighten...
I have only managed to get similar with my new 750Wh to my 625Wh same ride 48km 1800m elevation 75-80% tour+, remainder emtb mode with just under 10% battery left.
Have run till empty on my regular ride and it is not quite matching let alone beating battery consumption of my previous bike. Trek Rail 9 625wh 2021 vs Trek rail 9.8 750wh 2022 same set up. Am hoping it gets better with more charge cycles even though previous bike didnt need charge cycles to...
I would do the same, but unfortunately I sold my Rail 9 before my new bike arrived. My wifes Focus Jam with 625wh Bosch is getting better range than my 750wh, it seems to just suck power even when riding bitumen. Its only barely getting better range than my Rise Hydro. Extremely disappointing.
So decided to upgrade from the 21 Trek Rail 9 to the 22 Trek Rail 9.8 XT with 750 Bosch smart system. With the larger battery and only using tour mode I am struggling to get even the same mileage that i could get out of my old bike. Only plus so far is the motor seems a little quieter (less...
Pinch bolt on shimano cranks is over the hole as there is a little tab spacer between the split in the crank arm that locates in the hole on the spindle.
