That's great to hear. I am about to order a Fox 36 Factory Grip2 for my Trance, so hope I notice a big difference as well !! Its gonna cost quite a bit more than $15 :D
I was worried about that as well with my wife's bike, and honestly I do not think it limits her in the least. Your wife may be more aggressive than mine, but my wife rides single track with me that has rocks and roots etc and it does not seem that its holding her back at all. With that said...
Its an app that loads on your compatible Garmin. It does read info off the bike such as cadence battery, mode etc. I just installed it on the Garmin 830 and connected it to my E-Trance 3 without issue although have not taken a ride on the bike yet.
The same grommet my E-Trance uses for the dropper post is present on the Embolden. The one on the upper right side of the battery tube. Not sure how much work it will be to route the cable though.
We bought my wife a 2021 Liv Embolden E+ and she loves it. She has been riding paved roads, fire trails, single track and she has no complaints at all. Its a really nice bike for the money. We've done 20 mile rides and she still has 4 of the 5 battery indicator lights on and she rides...
My wife is also in her 50's but she enjoys riding single track with me and has been doing great on her embolden. I was struggling with some of the same questions. In 2020 or 2021, they upgraded the motor on the embolden. I read its lighter and now has auto mode as well.
Even with my bike...
Awe, I see... Yes, her bike has 29s. I was surprised as well. She sure seems to like it though. We went out last weekend and we did about 8-10 miles on single track with some good hills in there and she did great. Bike has lots of power. Way more than enough, especially for her size.
@Cavi
My wife is 5'6" and she fits perfect on a medium. For what its worth, from most of what I have learned speaking to bike shops etc, folks in the know recommend going a bit larger than smaller with ebikes as its more common to travel longer distances on them.
You probably already know...
Just saw this. I will try to get one for you tomorrow. We purchased it at Folsom Bike in Folsom CA. It was on display, but not listed on their website.
