Quick update: I gave it another try using the pairing function instead of typing in the TCU ID in the App. Worked right away :)
Problem seems to be that they are not using the TCU number as an identifier, the ID that is showing up in the App after pairing is completely different from the TCU ID...
Hi Jan, been a while.... :)
I have a new challenge.. got a new bike -> Specialized Creo. I was hoping that the E-Bike field would work with the Creo as it basically uses the same TCU as the Levo. But unfortuantely no success yet. My edge 820 does find all the sensors (Speed, Cadence, Power) but...
@jd_3d
Do you think it might be possible to do a version for DT Swiss hubs with Centerlock adapter?
I'm using the EX1501 rear wheel (DT Swiss 240s hub / 19mm axle / stock rotor).
I'm attaching some pics of the rotor with centerlock adapter to give an idea what it looks like. If you need some...
Cool! And thanks a lot Jan for the effort you're putting into this. That battery ID update is really highly appreciated at least from my side, will help me a lot. 2 levos with 2 batteries each, that always was a bit of a hazzle. Just perfect now (y):D
@JanCapek Just wanted to let you know that I double-checked with my second Garmin device (fenix3). There the additional field shows up in Garmin Express (below the original fields). Not for the Edge820 though... Will try to uninstall/re-install now and see if that helps...
Update...
Hm, that's strange, I don't have that field "Additionalbike/battery IDs". I only have the usual 4 fields -> "Paired device...", "Premium functions...", "Email used..." and "Value shown...".
I synchronized my Garmin (Garmin Edge 820) a couple of times via Garmin Express but nothing seems to...
Hi Jan, that's great news!
Does the field synch with new batteries automatically or do I have to change settings in Garmin Express first (set battery ID to "0"). Any chance that it will be possible in the future to just add all existing batteries via the "Paired Device" field in Garmin express...
You don't need the fake channel if you use a Garmin Edge 820. The fake channel is "cannibalising" another value (like heart rate or cadence or power) to show the remaining charge of your battery. This method can be used on devices which normally wouldn't have the ability to show the residual...
Hi Jan, it's a 2019 Levo FSR and fake channel is turned off (unused).
With the old TCU firmware the speed sensor simply transmitted wrong speed data to my Garmin, it always showed a constant speed only as soon as the magnet passed the sensor one or two times. This was totally independant from...
Unfortunately not, believe me, I tried!! It really was the TCU firmware that was causing the problems with strange data output on my Garmin. With old TCU firmware Garmin was showing a fixed / constant speed of 25.x no matter what wheel circumference I set in Garmin for the speed sensor. The...
I'm talking about the firmware of the bike, especially the "display" (TCU). That's the little thing where you turn on the bike. With up to date TCU firmware the sensors will deliver correct data to your garmin (but you will lose the possibility to hack the wheelsize if that's of interest for you).
Use this datafield instead, in contrary to the Specializhed datafield it actually works fine also with the 2019 levo (y)
Ebike Field - Garmin app ~ UPDATE: New Diagnostics app - EMTB Forums
The Specialized datafield still has bugs which were never fixed. I had tried to address some of these...
According to Paolo it depends on the TCU firmware (not the engine firmware) if you can change the speed limit - or not...
TCU version 2.019 or V1.7.0 = wheel size and speed limit are changeable
TCU version 2.025 = wheel size and speed limit are NOT changeable.
Talked to Antony - really great guy!! - he's gonna send me one one of these things to Germany. You're really lucky to have such cool dealers in the UK (y):D
Wheelsize can't be reset in the MC App. You need to use a 3rd party App to do that. If Blevo doesn't work you can also try the LightBlue App (free App) to re-set the wheel size to the original number (2300). The HEX code for 2300 is "0200fc08". You have to overwrite the current value with that...
