Whats the diameter of the shaft and the length?

The metal part looks like a crush washer, its designed to compress when you tighten up against it holding the fastener under tension and less likely to come loose I believe.

I meant to say earlier I ended up getting some Ergon GA3 grips. I tried my sons deathgrips and they seemed a little too hard. The slight flare for the palm area on the Ergons has helped my comfort.

the other thing to consider is how hard are you gripping? Dont grip too hard but obviously hard enough to not let go ;)

Yep i can understand that. It looks lovely. I know i for one hummed and hahhed about the Stilus because of the cost. If it had been another grand i couldnt have justified it tbh.

So far ive got away with anything I’ve tried. Its been a bit close on slow tight turns but its been ok. Definitely more inclined to fall to the side than my analogue bikes though.

yes, they have a real appetite for good value bikes.

Given the price in europe is a bit higher it makes sense that decathlon would sell them there instead to maximise profit.

I copied the pic of the dimensions to one of the earlier posts in this thread. I have tonnes of space between my knee and the bar and can easily get my arse over rhe rear wheel with the dropper down, i have maybe 2.5” of the non dropper part of the seat post sticking out of the frame if that...

If it helps im 5’11” with a 29” inside leg and the L is just right for me. If i had a longer inside leg i think the XL would be better though. I suspect you are on the border between both sizes.

Seems to be a common theme at the moment. I ended up with the Stilus after missing out on a Giant, a Cannondale Moterra and then a Jam2 after waiting too long on all of them.
