My Ergon SM E developed a creak in the rails which was most likely due to me lifting my bike from the rear of the saddle. I then tried the SQLab 610 Ergolux, and it's the one for my arse (160 width on ebike and 150 width on acoustic).
Thanks for the info on the One Ups! I'll have to do some measuring, but it looks like it would reduce the stack height by about a centimeter which is about all that is needed.
I am the same height as you and went with an XL in last year's Decoy29. It's almost perfect out of the box size-wise, except I wish the XL had the option to get the 150mm dropper. The provided 170mm is just a tad too long for me. I have to catch the saddle just shy of the fully-up height...
Thanks, it was a major lesson learned for a somewhat minor injury (stitches and dental visit are manageable and no extended down-time). I do wonder how I would feel today if I had been wearing the Bell with the chinguard. I think I would just have a sore neck if anything.
