Just received a ew-en100 and it doesnt work with my motor (purchased on Ebay from Germany) due, Im guessing, the software version on the motor. Same goes for a Sc7000 display. Connects to garmin but wont talk to bike. Anyone experienced this / know what software version I need to update it to...
Ok this was on an e8000 which I know is not compatible the en-ew100 will be here in a couple of days. So the fact that the % showed uo means im heading in the right direction. Never used a garmin up to today!
You need to do some research mate, the latest 7000 was brought specifically for emtb as it is more compact and therefore less likely to be written off in a crash. And once again they do work with the 8000 because ive had one.
Yes they are, read above, juat depends on update version its running. Regardless of whether the one that the German is selling is nicer the 7000 is more compact and stealth.
A sc e-7000 worked for me on the original eu 8000 but not on the one I just got from Germany which is running 4.5.5 software from memory. The bike works, just no display.
On a side note is the paid version of St unlocker linked tomthe motor or the display, as in if I change the display would I need to pay for a new subscription.
As per the title, when you pay for a new st unlocker is it linked to your motor or the controller. I.e if I need to shange the controller (screen) do I need to pay all over again?
Just picked up a vlt a2 29er for a donor motor which I was planning on selling when I sourced a new motor for my E 160 but had a couple of rides and I liked the way it felt so will now keep as a second bike to use for longer rides (630 vs 504 battery) Currently running the dhx with valt...
Well over-engineered but does exactly what I wanted it to do. Quicker and easier than bike work stand when wanting to just wash the bike or oil the chain.
