I have a shimano system - e8000 with 504wh battery. I was wondering if these use a passive or active bms? Also, does anyone know the best charging routine for a battery pack (made up of 18650 cells) with a passive bms - it's in an e unicycle.
I have a merida e140 - for all intents and purposes the same as a 2020 e160 (e8000). I'd like to move the chainline in toward the motor 2mm or so - is this possible? I imagine a different spider or something. I predominantly use the first 9 gears (out of 12) and also running non shimano chain ring.
I really gel with the concept of these bikes - I ride in a modified low power eco 95% of the time anyway. I notice that the h30 has a 150mm travel fork and the h15 has a 140mm travel fork, yet the hta and sta still have the same angles, supposedly. Can anyone enlighten me on this or is it just...
As in the title. My particular shock is model # RS-DLX-SELP-B2. I have the sram parts catalogue, and it looks as though I need: 50hr kit 00.4315.032.615 and 200hr kit 00.4315.032.617. I don't definitively know this though and kits cost a bit. I've just serviced as per 50hr interval and seals etc...
My bike's speedo is out by approx. 7%, eg for a know 42 km trip it shows 45 km. I've tried subtracting 5% for the speedo display via the e tube app. It is still way out. Have I gone the wrong way (should I have added 5%) or does the change only affect the speed shown and nothing else?
I bought a trail bike with 140mm suspension. It's awesome but I find I'm pushing the suspension limits because I've started doing jumps and drops. I have the forks at 25% sag, but I'm bottoming out on drops etc. I don't want to go too harsh - where I ride isn't smooth. I'm not familiar or too...
I've never heard of this happening before. Luckily it was pretty much at the bottom of a descent. I heard some tinkling and felt something strange. Pulled up and my rear lever had nothing - just free play. I thought the caliper was off or a catastrophic leak - nothing. Then I thought I couldn't...
I've noticed this a couple of times, and it is always while I'm dragging brake (trail braking) while pedalling. It's usually in technical areas so I just hear the beep but don't see the error. It doesn't matter what the error is because I know what's causing it. Is there any work around for...
watching videos trying to sus out rebound settings. I understand the theory, but until today I couldn't tell you one way or the other, by feel, if one setting was good or bad :( Found this simple video, and just ran through it on my bike and my partner with her bike - awesome! I could feel the...
This is for removing / doing up the valve core. If you don't have a tool for it, #11 on the spoke tool fits nicely. Yes, I will buy some of those cheap doo daddies - never had a need for one till now.
Hello all. I have just learnt about the 80% charge advantage for life of the battery. I'll be buying a timer - for me 80% is fine for the majority of rides that I do, so with a timer, not a big issue.
With that in mind, how do you know when the battery is at 80%? Mine (e8000 with e7000 display)...
Hello. I have a merida e140 LTD. It has a 34 tooth chain ring and 11-51 cluster. I'd like to fit a 30 tooth chain ring. Are you able to make this change in the firmware with st unlock? I have seen screenshots of the chain ring entry in st unlock, but don't know if it can accept non standard...
Hello from Tasmania. I have a merida e140 Ltd. It is a shimano system, I have a couple of questions if anyone can help :) I only use about 8 of the 12 gears because of the 25km/h limit. That bugs me. I'd like to change the cluster to a 11-45 and the chain ring down from 34 to 32.
1. can I get a...
