    Orbea Rise Custom M10

If anyone wants to try out 160mm travel, I'm selling my coil shock setup. Worked great for me, but I'm selling my Rise and going back to non-e-bike. It does NOT have the rub issues pictured above, on my large frame. Asking $250 shipped within the US, can quote you for intl shipping, but it'll...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I did try the second offset bushing and it didn't fit. The shock mount would rub on the frame a bit. Also, I'm now selling my coil shock if anyone wants to try this out. Worked AWESOME, but I'm going back to a non-e-bike and will be selling my Rise in it's stock setup. Asking $250 shipped...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I’m on a large and can confirm the fit is super close with the offset bushing as Volts mentioned. I wouldn’t run it without the offset bushing. That said, I did previously run an older Fox Performance Van, which is essentially the same shock as the Bomber CR and it fit great. They rebound knob...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Quick update, just tried to install the offset bushing on the upper shock mount and it does NOT work with the Fox Van /Marzzochi Bomber CR. The "shoulders" of the shock bump into the frame. So if you wanna run full 29, your best bet to lower the bb is a single offset bushing in the rear, and...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I've tried a number of configurations and here are my notes: Overall setup - My setup is on the more rugged side. I have 203/223 rotors, and tough 2.4/2.5 tires. I ride a mix of steep/chunky terrain and flowy singletrack around the SF Bay Area. I tend to favor smoother lines enjoy popping of...

Raising it to 85nm looks super easy. Literally just move that slider. I haven’t actually tried it yet though, mostly because 60nm is more than enough for me and already drains the battery in 90 min or so for my 190lb riding weight. I much prefer 2-3hr rides in “trail” mode vs 60-90min at full boost.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

FYI, just connected ST Unlocker to my Rise the other day and you can seemingly turn it up to 85nm very easily.

    Orbea Rise Custom M10

Not sure if anyone’s mentioned this yet but ST Unlocker app seems to allow upping torque to “full power” aka 85nm torque. I haven’t actually tried it myself yet though!

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Looks about perfect to me! Let us know how that DHX2 holds up over time. All my parts to swap have arrived, just waiting on the bike now. Ship date is now 4/19... plus customs... other holds. gahhhh!

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

My latest hypothetical iteration is: - 29 wheels - 160 fork - 8.5”x2.5” shock for 161.6mm travel - 34t ring to keep AS close to stock This raises the front 10mm and the rear 14mm, so the BB goes up ~12mm to 348mm. This is only 2mm higher than a Transition Sentinel for reference, and the...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Yeah I’ll check clearance at the end stroke when my Rise arrives. Keeps getting pushed back, April now. Had a chance to snag an alternate color (dark blue) but wanted to hold out for white/green. Kicking myself now that my preferred colorway got delayed...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Thanks for the AS analysis! Never even thought about the chainring swap. I’ll look into it! Received the Fox Van shock today and it feels super solid. I also realized that with 29% of the travel increase at the end stroke,I should expect a tad more progression as well! So far it’s looking...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I hadn't considered the effects on anti-squat actually! Do you know if the smaller wheel and longer travel will increase the anti-squat or decrease it? EDIT: Did my own research and it seems it’ll increase AS, but not dramatically. E bikes can tolerate higher AS levels than analog IMO so I...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

The stock stroke is 55mm, so 52.5mm would be a 6.4mm reduction in travel. I ordered the longer shock already (haven’t even received my bike yet!) so I’m gonna try it with 161/160 and 29er wheels. According to my calc, it’ll have a 347.5 bb height which is a bit tall, but surprisingly close to a...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Found someone who has long-shocked the Rise with a 8.5” x 2.5” Fox coil, aka 215.9mm x 63.5mm Looks like it fits, and increases travel to 161mm! They’re using a 160 fork, so BB height is 15mm higher than stock with a 150 fork. If you drop the rear wheel to a 27.5 x 2.6, you get a 341mm bb...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I was thinking this exactly... If it can clear an 8.5”x 2.5” shock (216mm x 63.5mm) it would have 161.6mm of travel out back! Would LOVE to try that as a mullet with a 160 fork. Anyone have that shock size handy to test it for us??
