My bike seems to have a weird habit of running a weird sequence of lights now once turned off? Happens sometime hours after i pack it away - come into my shed and the lights on frame are runing up and down and flashing - anyone else have this issue?
If it could lose
If it could lose 2kg min would be nice - My XL is over 25kg, heaver than a mates Kenevo with boxxers! Carbon frame please, more top end speed / refinement on motor so the cut out not so noticeable. Higher BB.
Unsure but i do know on my bike if is downshift the motor speed controller past lowest setting, it actually turns assistance off. Then the display ( on bike ) just goes white lights on the RHS. maybe disconnect the cables from hea dunti and leave for a bit?
Even with my gripes about Giant / Yamaha motor it seems they are pretty relaible. I do believe yamaha actually crreate dthe first electric bicycle so i guess that helps.
Yeah ok - never ridden one.
Even the newest CX version 5? Funny have spent years making my Analog bike quite and then e bikes are just noisy all the time :)
Intersting - yeah its very strange. I ride my mates Brose and Shimano motors and the insant smoothness difference is quite apparent. Great motor no doubt, especially at lower speeds and lots of torque but could do with some tweaking to clutch/ sideplay and top speed power output.
Australia is 25km/Hr too. I heard or saw an interview with Bosch guy just recently and it seems the fine line between speed / power is something they take seriously. Once above a limit it gets bike into "motorcyle" territory and allthe associated laws etc.
My 2022 Reign E+1 ( Giant Syncdrive pro 2 ) Seems to have lost power / torque today - I thought i was just unfit after many weeks off bike but got a mate to ride my bike and he agreed - NOT RIGHT.
We did a speed test next to his merida E160 ( Shimano ) and it seems like my motor is cutting...
I think its the side to side width measurement - say from the pedal thread to pedal thread how wide the cranks splay out?
That is how far apart your feet will be - I think Yamaha motors are relatively narrow compared to some. If you have a narrower Q factor than std cranks you may have issues...
Thanks for the info. Am i alone in having a bikes thats a bit noisy? I do agree with the motor engaagemnet as well, and think its the combo of evereything thats is making the noise. Ive been spoilt with my other bike being an almost silent Nukeproof reactor. Also, Did repack the grease in the...
I love my reign E+1 20022 model, big burly bike i can pretty much throw at anything. Only thing is the noise generated by the rear end - i think combo of super stiff wheelset ( I need to add an insert ) and the sloppy freehub engagement. Can you rebuild these Giant brand hubs with a quick...
