Yamaha ditching stock at 1/2 price event going on now!

Interesting there is no movement on price in Australia still $8000 aud here and I haven’t seen one in the wild at any trail.

    Have Bosch missed a trick?

I just listened to a podcast with troyden from crestline talking about their recent Bosch motor deployment and the possibility of a firmware update coming to release triple figures on the new cx motor. From my understanding, Bosch has strengthened the motor unit and battery configuration to...

Ergon SM-E Core Prime saddle crash

Here is a warranty replacement. The rail mouldings cracked on mine so wouldn’t suggest using any force here.

Ergon SM-E Core Prime saddle crash

Not good. I have gone through 2 of these saddles within 12months, the weakest part of the saddle is where the rail enters the plastic base (exactly where your having issues now) so yes a replacement is needed. I paid $230aud for mine so not a cheap experience.

Yeah the sprindex is a good addition and works well. I did notice some paint issues I just put it down to the terrain I ride.

Suggestions for replacement shock on 2023 scott eride ransom for heavy rider

Well fox Aus issued me a dhx after my float x had the same issues. I can only run the bike mx with the flip chip on high to use this. So after some investigation, I ended up buying an ohlins ttxm2 coil which works on high/low (much better than the dhx for rebound fyi). Haven’t tried a rockshox...

    Anyone running PINND cranks?

83cm shorter cranks are better on emtb. I went from 165 to 145 due to rock strikes.

    Anyone running PINND cranks?

Been running 145 for about 8months now ( first production batch for Bosch motor) no regrets. I find anything bigger hard to ride. I’m 6.1ft or 183cm and changed my dropper and bar to accomodate the length.

    Shorter Cranks

I had 165mm and replaced with pinnd 145mm no regrets. I’m 6.0ft or 182cm. Short cranks on emtb makes sense to me

    Even shorter cranks?

No regrets easier to pedal and 165 feel so long now.

What short cranks are you using for the Orbea Wild.

Been riding pinnd 145mm since they launched. I now can’t ride anything larger you get used to being able to pedal over rocks etc with this size. Love them.

    Rotor wear

Great info here learnt a lot. I replace my pads and rotors together twice a year. I’m a heavy rider on a heavy bike riding 3 times more than on a mtb. I believe brakes are the most important aspect on an emtb so no second guessing this component.

Suggestions for replacement shock on 2023 scott eride ransom for heavy rider

I went through two suspension tuners here and both agreed the shock would be too linear with the larger shaft and air can ie coil like. I agree the shock looks good but my factory x2 was too linear and not progressive enough for my needs.

How do you find the shock? I was seriously considering this one.

Yeah I thought this might be an issue. The Öhlins distributer recommended a coil over air but said it would come down to preference

Suggestions for replacement shock on 2023 scott eride ransom for heavy rider

This bike came with a performance x2 (comp/rebound) in scott tune. It started leaking air then the dreaded x2 squelch came. Fox Australia replaced for a 2024 factory x2. This lasted 9 days with oil leaking on the reservoir. Replaced last week with another 2024 factory x2. I’m running 298psi and...
