The most confusing is not Specialized wish to introduce new App, but way to do it: pissing off all mission control users, not hearing a bit to Specialized user comunity, putting crap on the table, after a year crap is still crap.
As said, you CAN use the old MC App, still it is significantly cut down in functionality. It is not forcing you to update, the popup by start you can click away. It is important NOT to use the latest versions but v3.20 as example, AND dissable auto updates.
I experienced the same at turbo after ca 10 min of uphill. Power decrease comes gradually and it is hard to keep with the group. For sure it is not from overheat, i am light. Funny, the motor power output in mastermind says-all is fine.
Then try to record the ride together with Strava or Garmin, then compare the recorded data. New Speci App f.e. is way off counting 100-200hm extra on 1000hm. I had a long discussion with Speci tech team, they admitted an issue , i tried some new app versions. At the end it was not fixed. Even...
Guess you never really used the new app to record a tour, analyze data, and configure your bike... of course a taste of old mission control helps here a lot to understand the whole dept of crap.
you can, just install manually the Version 3.20. Important! turn off automatic updates. Anyway Specialized made Mission control usage nasty- many features, including motor power draft, are dissabeld by Specialized OTA. They are not really there for us-end user- but for their Ego.
The New Specialzed App still missing functionality here and there, that will come....someday. But for me the bigest fail from Specialized is the recorded data: on average 1000hm App is counting around +200hm more, the calories burned are full fail.(With Polar pulse strap) On the same phone with...
Probably found the issue of elevated HM in the new APP. The GPS recording seems to be unfiltered, and every height jump is counted.: MC app vs NEW App: The first part of the route is identical.
Ah, you are so smart, was you on my bike or I? In spite it might look like that on the graph, it was not a case, and motor power loss was almost instant and heavy.
I saw it once by one strong 600hm, 10% road climb in 100/100 microtune mode (shuttle to hotel). Outside was just below 30°C.
The first 200hm went well, then suddenly Brose started to drop the power down to ~350W.
After some short flat section the motor recovered but up to the end of ride anyway...
