    Fox 38 Harshness?

I disagree with this and would avoid going to them moving forward. I've had 3 bikes all with 38s and stantion is always true and as stated. Given there's a couple mm at most that sits in the fork by design , I've always felt support throughout travel. Seems a worrying statement for any...

    2021 Santa Cruz Bullit

Have you over tightened the screw? I've sent mine off endless jumps and flats with no issues? Maybe replace it like for like?

100% take it to revs, it just ploughs through.

    MT7 brake grumbling noise

Something isn't adding up. The picture of the rotor shows insufficient height of the pads and would suggest spacers are needed or incorrect adapter. The caliper pictures look like they're in-line with top of rotors, maybe a bad angle? Do you have any 1.5mm spacers to try? You'll need one on...

    MT7 brake grumbling noise

What forks do you have? Double check they're 160mm and not 180mm. Is the adapter installed the correct way round, the arrow should face up. The QM42 takes a 160mm to 203mm. The QM44 takes a 180mm to 203mm.

    MT7 brake grumbling noise

Use this link That disc is about 3mm out, my pads are at the top of the disc. Double check the adapters are correct, you can't use a 200mm on a 203mm disc

    MT7 brake grumbling noise

Yes center the caliper to the rotors. By the looks of that picture, you're not using the full surface of the rotor. What size rotor is it and what's the post to post or adapter you're using?

    MT7 brake grumbling noise

Take the pads put of the caliper. Align the disc centrally to the caliper, this has to be 100% not 99%. Make sure pistons are equally pushed back. Insert pads and give it several big squeezes. Job done. The Maguras have to be 100% aligned or they will grind under heat/pressure. It took me...

    Bullit battery range

I am same weight and height as you and went with XL, reach is a little longer than the levo by 30mm but, the L felt cramped . I've been to revs countless times recently (addicted) and super happy with the XL and room to move around. I have the 21 x2 on rear and went 180 fox 38 upfront, give me...

    Bullit battery range

The range depends on several factors. I personally wouldn't rush to change the front out, go ride, go faster than you've ever been before and make use of that maxxgrip front end. The bullit will truly come to life when things get fast and ruff. The more skill you have, the more rewarding the...

    2021 Santa Cruz Bullit

I'm 100kg and have 114psi with no tokens that gives 18% sag. I hit massive jumps and drops and only ever use 90-95% of available travel. Fox 38 are super slow and I've found I need loads more rebound than fox suggest . I run 7 LSR and 5 HSR at 114psi/100kg. The fox 38 is a burly heavy hitting...

    2021 Santa Cruz Bullit

I'd remove both tokens and aim for no more than 25% sag. At 30%, you're going to be sat in mid travel and it will feel worse .

Anyone bump up to 180 with their Fox fork?

There's been no immediate noticeable differences other than being that little bit more better on super steep technical. No changes to cornering or jumps either, not that I've noticed.

    Fox 38 Harshness?

It was that bad I couldn't ride for more than a couple miles before the wrists started hurting so I had no choice but get them sorted. After researching the issue online, it seems this has been a problem for several years ?. I loved the Zeb but honestly now the 38 is sorted, it's loads better...

    Fox 38 Harshness?

I maybe a little late, but I had the same problems and sent them off to be stripped down. The forks were harsh, no matter what I did with fully open settings . It turned out there was enough grease in the chamber to service 50 forks. Now they're super compliant on small bumps, no harshness...
