Welcome to the forums.
So I’m not the only one with this syndrome. I admit that I’m a little OCD when it comes to tidiness …but I don’t see dirt. That’s why the Wife and I get along so well. (She’s a nurse and cleans everything).
A tidy cockpit was a priority when I got the Rail 9.7. I added...
On my Canyon Spectral ON and Torque ON I had to lift the motor to get the hose through the frame. Both bikes had a heat shield around the hose.
I did gut the hose on the brake lever site. Then mounted a Park Tool cable routing guide. Pulled the hose through the frame. Mounted the new brake...
Great thread and thanks for the tips. I’ve just upgraded to the MT7s (transferred from the old bike).
Installation was incredibly straight forward, I sprayed some silicone on the external part of the brake hose, and also into the frame routing and the brake hose just flew straight in and out. If...
A month ago, I have updated my 200mm disk brakes as the SLX weren't properly working. I am missing the SRAM modulation.
So, I have found several videos explaining how to install a mix between Shimano levers and Magura Callipers. However, the videos are based on having the full Magura set and...
Hi,
I also have upgraded my 2020 Decoy :

- Renthal bars and Spank Split Stem
- Ergon SM E-Mountain Sport saddle

I have the Magura MT7 and 400Km ago I bled the rear brake, but yesterday the lever was soft and close to the handlebar again. Checking the lever I saw that it was stained with a thin layer of brake oil.
On the side of the lever there is a small hole that if an internal joint breaks, the liquid...
Nice facilities you've got going on there. I also have accepted shoegate. The missus doesn't understand the concept of the understairs cupboard and that cupboards are to put stuff in.
I ran Mt7's for 3538 miles before I sold the bike last week. They were no more difficult to install as any other brakes. Bleeding isn't much different than any other brake. They all have their subtle differences, but there's nothing esoteric about it.
A noteworthy characteristic of the...
Some random thoughts from my first week riding my CEF 50...
I had a nice ride on of my favorite trails this week (North Shore near the Dallas area for those familiar). I was quite pleased with the bike. The geo felt really comfortable and natural (I'm 6' tall on a size Large). Suspension felt...
Yes, I did replace the hose. I have a Shigura brake set-up (Shimano Saint levers and Magura MT7 calipers with Magura MDR-P 220mm rotors) and was required to use a Magura Brake Hose. I did not have to remove or drop the battery to do this. I recommend draining all the brake fluid from hose you...
In the future, you shouldn't need to bleed new Maguras if you plug the end of the cable (a small white plug is provided) immediately after you cut it near the lever. I keep those plugs for future installs and put one on both ends of the cut hose.
Keep your lever up so fluid doesn't drain, and...
The Magura MT7’s brakes are a great upgrade when setup and maintained properly. I’m no expert on these brakes but I’ve installed several sets over the past 4 years (6-7 sets). Most of my small circle of eMTB friends use them so we are able to exchange ideas and any issues when they arise...
I’ve only installed about 6 MT7 brake systems. One thing that was suggested to me was to lightly wipe some grease around the olive (new) before it’s installed. Always use a new olive and barb for installs.
This small angle thingy is available through Magura also. The new brake hose angle...

Same here. I’ve done my best to tidy up the cockpit with the Sram AXS dropper and derailer. Positioned and wrapped the brake lines and use bar clamps for combined brake and AXS paddles. I even installed the angle brake hose adapter for the Magura brake master cylinder to keep those brake hoses...
The subject line is a question, not an assertion! My first few packages of Magura 8.P pads arrived in a blister pack (not sure about UK term). The set I received recently came in a thin plastic bag. The pads themselves have similar markings.
I've sent emails to Magura.US and Magura.DE asking...
After the install and initial bleed of the MT7’s , I find that a short bumpy ride is necessary to free up any trapped air bubbles. After this, a lever/mini bleed may be necessary. Some bubbles will rise into the bleed cup when you pump the lever.
Over time some water will collect in the...
