I have a SL and ride with two Vados and a Como. On pavement mine is a good bit louder, a whirr or whine from the motor and geartrain. Not awful but compared to the silent Vado and Como it is easily noticed. On dirt and gravel the SL noise blends in with the tires/surface noise so it seems to...
I ride a Levo SL with the 12 speed and to me it shifts clunky most of the time. Some others have changed their SL to Shimano 11 speed and say it shifts much better. I doubt you would consider the SRAM 12 speed an upgrade.
If I am riding slower than about 10 mph (in the neighborhood, it's Florida flat) I usually leave the power off. Past that I am most often in level 1 (35% on a Levo SL, which is not a lot of boost).
I have ridden on Continental RaceKings for years and they work well for the type of trails I ride so I got a set for my SL. They are fast on dry hardpack, not so good in mud. Although mine are 27.5 x 2.2 there are 29 versions too.
I looked at replacing the SRAM 12 speed with Shimano 11 speed, looks like it will come out to about $200 for the parts. I may do it, the SRAM upshifts clunky most of the time.
I tried Ergon's SMC4 after years of using their grips. Didn't like the saddle and returned it, got a Selle Royal Scientia Moderate/Medium (after riding on their saddles for 10 years) and like it.
As I wrote before, I also read/post on a Ford Mustang forum and I have read very few success stories of any time someone takes their car to the dealer for a "check-up". The service techs may have more experience than you but they sure don't care about your car/bike as much as you do! Learn...
I also read a Ford Mustang forum and if you believe many of the posts you will expect every new Mustang V8 to fail shortly. The facts are very different, with millions of these engines performing as expected. My guess is the facts on e-bike motors are the same.
I have plenty of miles on a 1UpUSA rack (2" receiver). If I were to buy a new one I would look at their SuperDuty that is rated for up to 75 lb each slot.
Been riding my Levo SL Comp for about a month, my most ambitious ride so far was 32 miles. The ride is Florida flat, elevation change of less than 16 feet except for the bridge over the ICW which is a whopping 75'. Most of the ride was in Eco (set for 35/45) except for the bridge where I used...
