@Bearing Man I'm amazed that failed so early in its life. and also astounded (and disappointed) that Shimano's design means repairing such motors is a technical nightmare re. the unsoldering.
As i mentioned in the sale that motor only done approx 300km in its lifetime and was 4 months old. It...
@Gary You wont need to wait long mate.
Deal stuck and motor will be on its way to its new home tomorrow.
I'll keep an eye on progress incase I end up wearing out my new E7000 in the future.

Barber - was yours in at Nicholson’s cycles in Dundee? I had mine in and the guy mentioned he had a customers bike that came back without a motor cover ....
I noticed something similar the other day. I recent wrote off an E7000 motor in a crash and had to get a replacement one. So on my brand new motor on its maiden voyage I was doing a 5km very steep sustained uphill climb on fireroad in Trail mode/granny gear and about half way up i noticed the...
I have same bike and my mate has Focus Sam2. Both have the Yari and i have to say Focus seem to do a better job of setting the fork up as his fork just feels better tuned out of the box than the Vitus one. Glad bike is working better for you, however, I'm not a fan of the colour's on that Fox...
Adventure ride last night after kids in bed on my Sommet Deore. Big 20km loop chasing the sunset over Clachnaben and Mount Shade in Aberdeenshire.
Two awesome descents of two amazing hills.

I thought i'd add my two cents here.
I have the E sommet. Awesome bike and i love it but my E7000 motor recently stopped working. Long story short, That was on 7th June. I send email that night to start warranty return for repair or replacement. It took them over three weeks (23 days to return...
Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement E7000 motor?
Will contact Shimano dealer tomorrow but had hoped it would be possible online but so far not finding anything in UK.
Cheers,
Frazer
Hey folks,
Im looking for some advice,
Bought a Vitus E sommet from CRC first week in March and after approx 1 month of ownership I dinged the underside of the motor on a rock. It cracked the black plastic housing on the drive side which I manged to replace easily for less than £20.
Fast...
it looks to be a custom piece made specifically by ORANGE bikes for their new ebike offering. You'd need to contact them likely to see if that were the case
Hey folks,
I updated the firmware on my E7000 motor yesterday via the ETUBE app and noticed I can now modify the power output on ECO mode too. (Waahaay).
Also - there is a new feature which I didn't really understand - You can adjust the speed reading on the Shimano steps display on the bars...
Hey vitus owners.
The other day about 5 mins into my ride I got a loud beep with an e020 error (connection issue between battery and motor). Tired resetting by removing battery and turning off and in again which then seemed to work. Appeared to power on okay but once I started pedalling there...
Hey folks, - anyone know the the eMax app works with the E7000 motor system yet ?
Doesn't mention E7000 on app but wondered if anyone has tried it ?
Cheers,
